"This is an older property and the rooms reflect this. The beds were comfortable and clean. It was fine for us as we spent most of our time with family. The owner/manager was very helpful and friendly. We were in the end room and the Wi-Fi was weak there. He offered us another room but we chose to stay put. We could easily walk to the gazebo or just a bit toward the office to use Wi-Fi. It worked fine for us but it’s certainly not the Ritz. "

"Clearly, a very well managed motel. It's just a standard motel, but it's just staffed and managed very well. There are lots of little thoughtful things which aren't expensive or posh, but are very nice, like the clips for holding the blackout curtains completely closed. "This is one of the best places that I have ever stayed; the rooms are clean with tons of character. I love the style and the history of the place. There is a yard with a large outdoor kitchen and other fun games and stuff. Great for the kiddos! I'd like to find a reason to go back to the area just so that I can stay at this place again! And the American River is just right down the road (if you don't mind driving a gravel road). Love it and would definitely recommend! "
