“Great location”

This hotel was walking distance from the bus terminal and situated across from the boat-taxi to the Island of Tavira. Room was a little dated but clean. Breakfast was great. I thought the cost of my stay was expensive at this hotel was expensive, but the Algarve was expensive at this time of year compared to other areas of Portugal.

“Waking-up to the fishing boats”

Great location on the water. Within walking distance of shopping and dining. The rooms are very small and the beds are very hard to sleep more than a few hours at a time. Very nice staff and a better than average breakfast provided.

“Great Location”

Excellent location overlooking the river/boats. Train and Bus stations within walking distance. Reception staff were friendly. The room could be considered traditional Portuguese and is basic, as is the breakfast, Free wifi.

Tavira, Portugal: A handsome riverside town, Tavira is famous for its elegant 18th- and 19th-century architecture. Shunning mass tourism, it leaves international-style bars, restaurants and shops to satellite areas such as the beach resort of Cabanas. There are very good local seafood restaurants however. Its medieval castle ruins offer a panoramic view of the town which includes some fine churches. The beaches close by are long, flat and sandy.
