“Excellant Hotel”
Excellant hotel very clean beautiful. Make sure you book a room with a pool view as we ended up facing a petrol station that was the only down fall.Only 25 minutes from Spain Andulucia. We visited a few towns in Huelva.
“We enjoyed it very much”
When we arrived at 11.00pm at night, we were the last to check-in and we found the room we were allocated extrememly noisy because the door linking the next room (if families have booked adjoining rooms) was not sound-proofed enough and there was clearly a very noisy gathering taking place the other side of the door. The room did smell of cigarettes. We went down and asked to change rooms. There was only one other room available in the hotel. It was the room directly below. There was no smell of cigarettes, the neighbours were very quiet and the it seemed perfect. We had paid for the pool-view supplement, and when we woke the next day, we looked out of the balcony and found that we could not see the pool, indeed all we could see was the concrete terrace in front of our balcony on our level. It was not the view we had paid for. We spoke to a very helpful manager who said he would see what he could do. We explained that we were happy with our room, we knew there were no free rooms, but we simply wanted our pool-view supplement returned. He offered us free parking in the car-park all week and also one free evening meal for two in the hotel restaurant. It was a very generous offer worth more than we had paid for the supplement. We felt it exemplified the helpful way that the staff treated us at all times. They were very attentive and thoughtful.
“Taxi....Taxi”
If you arrive by train at night there may be noo taxis so be prepared to walk the kilometer or have a number to call. Incredible place. There is a word of caution...the hallway conversations and doors closing can be heard throughout the night within the rooms down that hallway. Very helpful at the front desk and a wonderful pool area.
“Lovely Relaxed Travira Getaway”
We really enjoyed our stay here. definately would go again.
“Comfortable hotel”
Always a comfortable stay at this hotel. Breakfast is a treat. Staff are very friendly. Still needs to upgrade in places, WiFi essential. Located in the most beautiful town on the Algarve When staying at this hotel try to avoid a room in the area of the hotel lifts because the tiled floors can be noisy.
“Lovley clean hotel that we would visit again”
A really nice stay in a lovely hotel. The staff were very helpful, the room was comfortable, clean and had a marvellous view of the pool area. The breakfasts make you look forward to waking up. The hotel is ideally located just a few minutes' walk from the town centre, which has a splendid array of restaurants. All in all a very enjoyable stay.
“going back soon”
a very nice family hotel but very noisy at night when family's are returning to their rooms, ask for a quiet room if possible and a higher floor. very helpful staff, it's in a great location, the beach is excellent and very cheap to get to by catamaran.can highly recommend the restaurant that has a roof top view of the town, mention this at reception and they will tell you which one it is.we went for three nights over the bank holiday, well worth it.
“Good hotel for the price”
Good hotel for the services, need more help with bilingual personnel
“Most relaxing holiday ever!”
My husband and I have just returned from a week at this hotel and we have a fantastic holiday. The hotel is spotless, bedlinen and towels are changed daily. Breakfast buffet was fantastic - way too much choice - and the range of food in the restaurant (we opted for buffet) at night was so good that we ate there 6 of the 7 nights and forgot our pledge to 'sample the local cuisine'. Entertainment in the lounge bar was good and the price of drinks very cheap. The staff couldn't do enough for us and we can't wait to go back.
“Very good, will return again”
A great hotel, in one of the better towns in the Algarve - it's not all golf and huge timeshare complexes you know! Paid a little more for a room overlooking the pool, which was worth it. As we travelled at the end of September the hotel guests were mainly older folk, but a few younger ones were there as well - not a destination for ravers. Hotel 'entertainment' one or two piece 'bands' doing mainly English 'old favorites' (fairly loudly). Outdoor pool a bracing 24-6C but the indoor pool was much warmer - bring a swim cap though.

Area:
Tavira, Portugal: A handsome riverside town, Tavira is famous for its elegant 18th- and 19th-century architecture. Shunning mass tourism, it leaves international-style bars, restaurants and shops to satellite areas such as the beach resort of Cabanas. There are very good local seafood restaurants however. Its medieval castle ruins offer a panoramic view of the town which includes some fine churches. The beaches close by are long, flat and sandy.
