“average”
Went for a convention; enough said
“Hotel has seen better days”
Older hotel and it shows which in by itself is not a bad thing because I've stayed at roadside motels that were built in the 50's or 60's and were clean and in great shape but not this one. My room (especially bathroom) was dirty, dusty....everywhere. Hairs in bathtub (not mine). Bath tub was cracked. Light fixtures had a thick layer of dust and cobwebs. Adding to the hotel was the location; old downtown Alexandria....nothing, and I do mean nothing there...nothing around...not convenient plus the hotel is right across from several churches which DO conveniently ring bells hourly throughout the night.
“Should be Bulldozed”
This hotel is in horrible condition. First room smelled like it had been shut up for years. The floor was soaking wet and the the Lamps beside the bed had no bulbs or lamp shades. The breakfast was poorly stocked and of poor quality and expensive. I have had much better free breakfasts at much cheaper motels. The only redeaming factor was some friendly staff and location to the convention center. The mayor of alexandria should bull doze the hotel, It would keep me from ever renting the convention center for any event.
“Disappointed”
The hotel was not clean though my room was decent enough. The hall carpets were dirty and I don't think many people were staying at the hotel. I would definitely not stay here again. No restaurant, very little nearby, and was a little worried about personal security.
