“Getting Better”

I have stayed at the hotel several times in the past and they are making some changes for the better. They have some new staff that are very friendly. They have also made some improvements to the lobby. This is not a bad hotel but you have to expect a different standard here. I have about 100 hotel nights each year for the last 20 years. Mostly in the US. The standards here are not the same so you must adjust your expectations.

“Nice hotel, but don't go in October...everything is closed!”

The Don Juan was very clean and the reception staff were very helpful. The rooms were big, clean and comfy. My only criticism was that because we went in October everything was closed. Restaurants were few and far between. Nice hotel but do not go out of season.

“Fair.... but cold”

For a "Grand Hotel" I expected a little more. The room was large but kind of cold. The floors were white tile and the walls were all painted white. Not even a picture on the wall to break it up. It was a little like being in the hospital. Some of the staff were very friendly (the guys) the woman were cold as ice. The location right on the beach is nice and the breakfast was great. Self parking is a nice feature. I stayed for a week this last trip and I plan to return to the area in 6 months. Next time I will stay at another hotel.
