“City of Water”

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Aachen. Many beautiful landmarks are located within walking distance as are restaurants and nightclubs. We were pleased with the multilingual staff. Free internet access is available in the lobby and the breakfeast we had was outstanding. I would highly recommend a room away from the street on a Friday night. We did get a lot of street noise until the early morning hours but it was the first night of the Christamas lights for the city. Maybe a normal Friday would be different. Do not miss the spa located near the cassino. It's about a twenty/thirty minute walk from the hotel and is one of the highlights of our thirteen days in western Europe. This hotel was priced right through Expedia and the spa is a bargin campared to the others I have visited.

“an ok hotel”

This hotel is a bit expensive for a three star property, but it is well located for the tourist who wishes to walk around and visit Aachen's points of interest. It is also near good restaurants and shopping. I was disappointed that some of the things that were listed as hotel perks were not available. For example, no bar in the hotel, no mini-bar in the room, twin bed rooms are actually a double bed with two duvets, at least my room was even though I paid for a twin. Rooms are somewhat small, but bathroom is good. We enjoyed our stay, but felt it was a bit pricey for what you actually get.
