Your tour begins with your guide taking you on a 2 mile paddle along tropical waterways of the Wailua River, which is the only navigable river in the state of Hawaii. This majestic river winds through a tropical garden paradise of abundant palms, ferns, flowers and wildlife. Paddle past Kamokila Village, the sight made famous by the film, “Outbreak.” Head up the north fork and paddle along the beautiful jungle stream until it narrows and the water is shallow for you to step out of your kayak and park it on land. Once the group is ready, you will cross the shallow end of the river, where you begin your 1 mile hike through lush forest once reserved for Hawaiian Royalty which lived in the Wailua Valley 1500 years ago. Along the hike, your friendly and knowledgeable guide will share Hawaiian history and legends and point out the various flora and fauna of Kauai's most sacred area. The grand finale is spending time at the beautiful Uluwehi Falls aka Secret Falls. Take a dip in the refreshing water. Don't forget to take photos to make all your friends jealous! It's not every day that you get up close to a breathtaking 120 ft waterfall on Kauai!
