Description

Pedal around the stunning grounds of the Palace of Versailles as you visit the chateau's resplendent grounds, the gardens' neatly trimmed lawns, and the Grand Trianon's marbled columns by bike. Take the train from central Paris, enjoy a picnic lunch, and absorb intriguing commentary from your guide.

Join your guide at the Gare Saint-Lazare, where you can get your tickets and hop on board a train bound for the palatial features of Versailles. When you arrive, grab a helmet and get paired up with a bike for a quick ride to a local market. Pick up delicious ingredients for a picnic lunch later in the day, and then ride to the entrance of the Palace of Versailles.

Spend the day strolling past the fountains, statues, and flower beds of the exquisite French gardens, marvel at the opulent interior of the Chateau's apartments, and see the private apartments of kings and queens like Marie-Antoinette.

Enjoy your lunch alongside the Grand Canal, imagine the guests and dignitaries who once stayed at the Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon, and spend some quiet time coasting around the Royal Forest before you point your handlebars back to the train station and return to the city centre.

Our tour guide, Guillaume was absolutely EXCELLENT. He was very entertaining as well as informative. We loved biking around the area and going to places that didn’t have many people. Would highly recommend!

Our tour was fantastic! Gilliam was our guide and he was awesome. He spoke English well, was informative, conversational and entertaining. The tour is long, so take water and dress comfortably. You will be taken to a market prior to entering palace to purchase lunch, and may be better off bringing something if you have picky eaters like I do.
