Travel north of Inle Lake to observe age-old traditions, interact with local merchants, and learn how to cook regional cuisine in the Pindaya Village. Gain an understanding and appreciation for the culture and diversity of the Danu, Shan, and Pa-Oh people.

Rendezvous with your tour guide at your hotel lobby. Then, board a private shuttle to take a short trip north to Pindaya. The first stop is at the local market where merchants sell an array of food and produce. After the market, head east to the village where artisans weave cotton into traditional clothing and bamboo into brooms. The villagers are friendly and you can expect curious children to welcome you into town.

Continue onward to a nearby farm to participate in a cooking demonstration using locally grown ingredients for popular Danu, Shan, and Pa-Oh cuisine. Learn the traditional techniques that were passed down by each generation while listening to explanations of how each cuisine differs. After all the food is prepared, take a seat and enjoy a delicious lunch. The tour concludes with a return trip, via private shuttle van, to your hotel.
