Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Springs Tour from Kota Kinabalu
Kinabalu Park is Malaysia's first World Heritage Site. Also the Centre of Plant Diversity for South East Asia, the Park boasts more than 5,000 vascular plant species.
The drive takes about 1.5 hours through scenic countryside and beautiful mountain range. On the way, stop by at the Nabalu Fruit Market. Arrive at Kinabalu Park HQ, jungle walk with the park naturalist and guide. Visit the Mountain Garden or Plant Research Centre. See the smallest orchid in Borneo and experience the different vegetation. Visit the exhibition centre and watch interesting slide shows the animals and unique plants species found only at Mount Kinabalu.
Afternoon, lunch at local restaurant. Depart to Poring Hot Spring with another 45 minutes drive through the countryside passing through Kundasang's vegetable growing town. Upon arrival, take a 20 minutes hike to reach the Canopy Walkway. Experience the height of 200 feet above ground from top of the tree itself.
