Know before you book

  • You must be able to hike a minimum of 3 miles (4.8 km) and a 1,000-foot (305-m) elevation change.
  • You must be able to carry a minimum of 2 quarts (1.9 l) of water.
  • At least 4 people are required for this activity to take place.
  • Hotel pickup is available from most Flagstaff hotels (within city limits). Please arrange pickup from your hotel or a nearby location when you call to confirm your reservation.
  • Be ready for pick-up 15 minutes prior to the booked tour start time.

What you can expect

Explore the Grand Canyon on foot with your professional certified guide. Your day expedition will begin with a scenic drive and stops at breathtaking Grand Canyon overlooks. Lunch will be provided, and after lunch, you’ll hike between three and five miles into the heart of Grand Canyon depending on the abilities of the group. Remember that Grand Canyon hiking is somewhat strenuous and you should be in fit condition. The elevation change will be approximately 1,000 feet (305 metres). You’ll return to your hotel in the evening, tired but thrilled with this incredible day.
