What you can expect

Visit Don Silvano Ranch in the countryside around Buenos Aires to discover authentic gaucho culture and heritage. Feast on delicious Argentine barbecue and wines, watch a traditional dance and horsemanship demonstrations, and learn about the history of the ranch during your stay.

Get picked up from your Buenos Aires hotel and drive out into the country, rolling through beautiful wild nature until you reach Don Silvano Ranch. You're greeted with a warm reception during which you can get to know the gauchos of the ranch while snacking on empanadas, wine, and juice. Take a tour of the premises, discovering the history of the ranch itself, which was built in 1930 and spans 939 acres (380 ha). As you explore the complex, get the chance to participate in a milking demonstration, and climb on board a horse or tractor for an exciting ride.

For lunch, sit down to a feast of asado barbecue with salad and paired with Argentinian wines. Following your meal, watch a traditional gaucho show of dancing and singing that introduces you to local folklore. Next, be amazed as the gauchos demonstrate the astounding horsemanship that they're known for. After a late afternoon snack and mate, a regional drink made with yerba mate leaves, return to Buenos Aires and end your tour.
