After collection from your hotel or other accommodation, your day starts with a visit to the boutique cellar door of Dell’Uva wines to sample from the wide selection of varietals on offer, one of the largest range of Europeans grape varietals in the country (44 different varietals) are planted over the 50-hectare property.
After this perfect introduction to the region and the modern winemakers pushing the boundaries, it’s time to experience the history of the region in all it’s grandeur at the iconic Seppeltsfield Estate. So much more than a winery, you will experience their fantastic wines, the fascinating history and the new developments happening on the Estate including the Vasse Virgin operation offering all-natural skin and body care products along with gourmet food products such as Australian made Virgin Olive Oil. Don’t forget the Jam Factory and a chance to meet the artists that exhibit and sell their amazing art on site.
No trip to the Barossa would be complete without a stop at the Farm Shop home of one of Australia's most celebrated Gourmet Food Ambassadors, Maggie Beer. Guests can explore the farm shop and taste a wide variety of Maggie's delicacies and wander the picturesque grounds and farm area.
For lunch, Guests will enjoy a gourmet platter style lunch of local produce such as traditional German-style smoked meats (in fitting with the region's history), gourmet cheese, locally baked bread and other goodies. The lunch location varies based on venue availability and includes wineries such as Grant Burge, Z Wines, Thorne Clark and Rosenvale Wines.
Continue your exploration of the Barossa’s gourmet food with the award-winning Barossa Valley Cheese Company, an artisan cheese producer utilising local dairy where possible with a focus on soft cheese styles.
Next up, it's time for a survey of the valley, from the Valley's most recognised viewpoint, Mengler's Hill. From here guests will take in the views of the sweeping valley, from eastern to western ridge and all the way to the wheat-belt.
Finally, Experience the premium wines and local hospitality of one of the region's best boutique wineries such as Z Wines in Tanunda.
