Description

Meet the colourful, quirky and lovably odd characters of Avenue Q in this Tony®-winning musical comedy. A cast of profane and eccentric puppets helps recent grad Princeton come to terms with life after college in this heartfelt and humorous grown-up take on Sesame Street.

Fresh out of school and new to the Big Apple, Princeton settles into the only apartment he can afford—a shabby room on dingy, unglamorous Avenue Q. With big dreams and a small budget, Princeton slowly comes to terms with the fact that the real world might not be quite as easy as he'd been led to believe, setting his plight to music with hilarious songs like “What Do You Do with a B.A. in English” and “I Wish I Could Go Back to College.”

A slew of very funny neighbors call Avenue Q home, like Rod the republican, Trekkie the Internet sexpert, and Gary Coleman—yup, that Gary Coleman—the building superintendent. Satirical tunes like “It Sucks To Be Me”, “Everyone's a Little Bit Racist”, “Schadenfreude” and “The Internet is for Porn” move the hilarious action along, and the actors that manipulate the puppets are visible onstage, adding another layer of physical humour to the laugh-out-loud antics of each scene.

Winner of the Tony Awards® “Triple Crown” for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, Avenue Q has been delighting audiences since 2003 with its irreverent, quasi-fantastical coming of age tale and raucous score. Don't miss your chance to see this uproarious musical puppet show in person!
