What you can expect

Discover why Western Australia is a nature lovers’ paradise. Become an Exmouth Explorer and experience the many wonders of the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef. Venture north to explore the Pinnacles Desert, hike the Murchison River, and peek through Nature’s Window to an ancient gorge.

Take a stroll along World Heritage-listed Shark Bay, a beach made entirely of tiny shells, see the world’s oldest living fossils, the Stromatolites, and marvel at dolphins playing offshore in Monkey Mia. Home to around 2000 dolphins, this marine playground also features turtles, dugongs, manta rays, and whale sharks.

Stay overnight in Coral Bay, a sleepy seaside town with rainbow coral gardens growing from the water’s edge. Choose to enjoy a boat tour, go in hunt of the mysteries of the deep, or simply laze on the beach, the turquoise waters will leave a lasting impression.

Follow the road north to Exmouth Cape, a place where rugged mountains connect almost to the sea. Climb to the top of Vlamingh Head Lighthouse for spectacular panoramic views overlooking the reef and Indian Ocean; you may even spot migrating humpback whales. Visit to the snorkelling haven of Turquoise Bay. From Exmouth we then make our way, slowly back down to Perth, breaking up the journey to walk among incredible sand dunes.
