Quokka selfie<\/h2>\n

The quokka selfie is a recent phenomenon that can be experienced in just one place. The quokka is a nocturnal marsupials that can be spotted at Rottnest Island. Located off the coast of Perth, it\u2019s just a short 30 minute ferry ride to the island which is world renowned for its dramatic coastline and wildlife viewing. You\u2019ll spot all manner of sea life along with your quokkas. The quokkas are definitely not shy so expect them to get up nice and close for your selfie. A trip to Rottnest is a fun day trip from Perth \u2013\u00a0the state\u2019s capital has come to life over the past few years, with a plethora of new hotels like the COMO Treasury<\/a> and Alex Hotel<\/a>, cool cafes like Eggsluff and Old Lira, along with bars like distillers Hippocampus and Bob\u2019s Bar.<\/p>\n

Ningaloo Reef<\/h2>\n

From March to July, see the mighty spectacle of the Whale Sharks<\/a> who make their way to the waters off the coast of Exmouth in WA\u2019s north when the coral starts to spawn. It\u2019s a sight to behold, watching these gentle giants of the deep. You\u2019ll also likely see dugongs, turtles and manta rays along the way.<\/p>\n

Broome\u2019s famous stretch of sand is beautiful all day, every day, but if you\u2019re after a unique experience, join a sunrise or sunset camel safari. The animals amble along the beach at a relaxed pace that lets you take in the full glory of a west coast sunset.<\/p>\n

Make time for wine<\/h2>\n

Whether you\u2019re a wine connoisseur or just someone who enjoys a good drop, the Margaret River is one of the country\u2019s top wine regions. Forest and bushland meet rolling hills and the sea at vineyards where the views are almost as spectacular as the tastings. If you want to get close to nature, check into the Olio Bello Lakeside Glamping<\/a> site \u2013\u00a0lakeside bungalows look straight out onto the water, perched on the edge of the property\u2019s organic olive grove. There is a caf\u00e9 on site, but stock up on local produce and cook up a feast to eat on your bungalow\u2019s deck with a bottle of local wine. The Kimberley will capture your heart and won\u2019t let it go. The northern tip of Australia is a rugged wilderness, dotted with dramatic gorges, waterfalls and rock formations. The mighty Bungle Bungles in Purnululu National Park, Bell Gorge on the Gibb River road, the silent boab trees standing guard at water holes \u2013 it\u2019s a world of its own and worth every minute discovering.<\/p>\n

Wild and free<\/h2>\n

Whether you\u2019re a horticulturist, have a green thumb, or even if you don\u2019t, the wildflowers of Western Australia wil capture your heart. Carpeting great swaths of the state are more than 12,000 different species of wildflower which bloom between June and November.
