LITTLE & FRIDAY: CREAM & RASPBERRY DONUT<\/h2>\n

Auckland has a pretty fierce donut scene, but with four locations around town, Little & Friday<\/a>\u2019s cream and raspberry donuts are infamous. What\u2019s all the fuss? We\u2019re talking about donuts filled with a creme diplomat and raspberry coulis, which is then coated in icing sugar. The soft dough and fresh Kiwi cream is a winning combination. Get in early because they\u2019re known to sell out. Little & Friday also serve a great cup of coffee, along with savoury and sweet treats. They\u2019re one of my favourite go-to lunch spots. MILSE: BOMBE ALASKA ICE-CREAM<\/h2>\n

Milse<\/a>\u2019s location might be small, but they have a big reputation around Auckland for being the go-to dessert bar. Located in downtown Britomart, Milse serves up quirky ice-cream flavours and sweet treats \u2013\u202fthink Earl Grey macaroons, White Chocolate, Kiwi and Salted Caramel Terrines and Pumpkin, Mascarpone and Spice Tarts. The real star of the show here is Milse\u2019s Bombe Alaska ice cream, which is a successful and innovative take on the classic. The vanilla ice cream base is paired with local, seasonal flavours like feijoa or pear, before being dipped in white chocolate, covered in soft meringue and blow-torched to finish. THE RAW KITCHEN: SNICKERS BAR CAKE<\/h2>\n

Serving up raw treats which are gluten, dairy and refined sugar free, The Raw Kitchen<\/a> has been able to recreate some of my favourite sweets in a healthy way. Using ingredients like cacao, nuts and creamy coconut, their raw Snickers bar cake is a solid competitor against the original. Creamy layers of chocolate and peanuts are the perfect match with an almond milk or matcha latte. With two locations in Auckland, The Raw Kitchen is the perfect guilt-free spot for afternoon tea.\u00a0 Two Locations Auckland wide.\u00a0<\/em>

GIAPO: HAUTE ICE CREAM<\/h2>\n

If you see queues of people down Auckland\u2019s central Queen Street, it\u2019s probably because they\u2019re waiting in line for Giapo<\/a>, a modern parlour featuring handmade ice-cream, gelato and sorbet in traditional and innovative flavours. What\u2019s different here is that Giapo’s philosophy is to taste first, then visualise. When entering the store, you won’t be able to see the ice cream \u2013 you\u2019ll first choose a few flavours that sound interesting, taste a few and then select one. The team will carefully create a unique masterpiece just for you. With creations changing all the time, the team will talk with you to create a sweet work of art like Giapo Buono, a hazelnut flavoured ice cream covered in toppings like gold painted hazelnuts and blow-torched meringue. THE DAIRY: ICE-CREAM SANDWICHES<\/h2>\n

Ask the locals and they\u2019ll agree that Ponsonby is definitely the place to be in Auckland. The Dairy<\/a> is a beer, wine, cheese and ice-cream room located inside Ponsonby Central where there\u2019s always something to sip and nibble. The ice cream sandwiches are next level and make for an epic sweet treat that you won\u2019t find anywhere else. With cookie flavours like Afghan, Coconut, Chocolate Chip and Marshmallow filled, my best recommendation would be to choose two different cookies for each side of your sandwich before filling it with your choice of Kapiti, one of New Zealand\u2019s favourite award-winning gourmet ice-cream brands. Choose from flavours like Black Doris Plum, White Chocolate and Raspberry, Ginger Nut and Fig and Honey, there\u2019s no combination too crazy, so go wild. Top it with Persian fairy floss and edible flowers and you\u2019ve got a dessert that\u2019s not only instagram worthy but that\u2019ll have you dreaming up your next combination.
