JING Bar, Temple House, Chengdu, China<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Never has drinking in a hotel bar been cooler. Chengdu\u2019s The Temple House<\/a> pulls out the big guns at JING Bar, with a DJ booth spinning and theme nights that have locals and visitors enjoying a tipple together. As the name suggests, Temple House\u2019s roots date back to the Qing Dynasty, and sits next door to the ancient Daci Temple. The JING Bar merges old and new, in a speakeasy style venue. Tiki Thursday are a bit different to your average Chengdu watering hole, when the bar transforms, with torches, Tiki mugs and plenty of Tiki games.<\/p>\n

The Bar, Baccarat Hotel and Residences, New York, USA<\/h2>\n

From Manhattans to Cosmos, New York is a cocktail city. When you combine that with a brand new luxury hotel, that just happens to be owned by a French crystal house, you can expect the drinks of your dreams. And that\u2019s exactly what you\u2019ll find at Baccarat Hotel’s<\/a> The Bar. Chandeliers dripping in crystal line the ceiling of the long, long bar that\u2019s well stocked with rare spirits and a fair share of the hotel\u2019s 15,000 piece strong collection of glassware. This is a bar for special occasions \u2013\u00a0anniversaries, engagements even, or just a special splurge in the city that never sleeps. Don\u2019t stop with the cocktails. Bangkok\u2019s hotel rooftop bars are legendary, but there\u2019s a new bar on the block and its taking things up a notch. ATTITUDE sits on the 26th<\/sup> storey of the brand new AVANI Riverside Bangkok Hotel<\/a>, overlooking the Chao Phraya river and the city skyline. The day beds are the new hot seats around town, but there\u2019s plenty of space to spread out, with indoor lounges, a rooftop pool, DJ booth and open show kitchen. The bar\u2019s specialty cocktails turn up the heat too, with French mixologist Alex Hersent bringing liquid nitrogen, wood smokers and caviar spheres to the menu. Enjoy the laid back birds eye view over the hustle and bustle, and trust us, you won\u2019t want to come back down to earth.

Hacienda, Pullman Quay Grand, Sydney, Australia<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Pullman Quay Grand<\/a> may not be a new hotel, but the paint is still wet on its stunner of a bar, designed for drinking in the view with a sundowner or two. Hacienda is Cuba meets florist, with a million dollar view in between. Perched right on Circular Quay, the far wall of the bar is floor to ceiling windows that open up in summer to let the sea breezes in. Settle in amongst the pastel pink and lime green chairs and look straight down on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, with a salted coconut espresso martini to kick things off.<\/p>\n

W Lounge, W Dubai \u2013 Al Habtoor City, Dubai<\/h2>\n

Dubai and decadence go hand in hand so it\u2019s no surprise one of its newest five star hotels takes OTT to new levels. Every inch of the new W hotel<\/a> is design-led, with a sleek, futuristic look that\u2019s space age meets modern minimalist. The W Lounge sits high on the 30th<\/sup> floor and looks straight out at the city from the comfort of huge blue lounges. Expect to find the music always pumping and the IN crowd mingling.<\/p>\n

Sherwood, Queenstown, New Zealand<\/strong><\/h2>\n

With a strong focus on community, the Sherwood\u2019s<\/a> cool and quirky rooms cluster around an outdoor fire pit that provides firelight for summer music performances, storytelling and meditation. In Winter, when the town swells for the ski season, it\u2019s the restaurant and bar that becomes the epicenter of activity, but it doesn\u2019t loose that sense of community they\u2019ve worked so hard to build. Instead, bar tenders spend time with their guests, walking them through the unique \u201cwine map\u201d that replaces the traditional menu. The map groups the wine by tannins, undertones and body so you can \u201cchart\u201d your path through the extensive collection of local Kiwi drops and a unique International selection.
