If there ever was a bar that makes one feel like a gentlemen (or gentle lady) then The Smoke House, on the grounds of The Majestic Hotel<\/a>, is it. Think bar tenders in white dinner jackets and bow ties, modern hits remixed into jazz favourites and a cocktail list of classics with Malaysian inspired tipples. The Smoke House has a private room with private chef for something extra special and downstairs? A private screening room showing black and white movies all day, a card and cigar room and a grooming suite.<\/p>\n

Tailor all the suits<\/h2>\n

Last minute suit shopping? Head to Lords Tailor in Bagsar Shopping Centre for the perfect fit. The team here is renowned for their workmanship and attention to detail. Carrying major brands such as Ermenegildo Zegna and Dormeuil, they\u2019ll even create a bespoke suit for your suit loving heart (or sweetheart).<\/p>\n

But if you\u2019re looking for a full-bespoke suit experience, word on the street is that Ah Loke Tailor is the place to go. The deceiving shop front, located at 26 Jalan Yap Ah Shak is a treasure trove of finely milled fabrics waiting to be turned into suits for that very special occasion. Each suit meticulously fitted and measurements precisely taken before the final fabric is cut for a suit, this is a suit that\u2019s made just how you like \u2013 right down to the lining, buttons and lapels.
\n<\/p>\n

Have all the massages<\/h2>\n

The Majestic has one of the best spas in Kuala Lumpur (complete with its own private pool) and for a buck\u2019s celebration with a difference, a facial, or massage will have you looking every bit the glowing groom before you hit the big day. Start with a deep cleansing pure facial to leave your face squeaky clean and end with Malaya massage with East Indian spice oil to get rid of those knots from the months of wedding planning stress.<\/p>\n

Get all the trims<\/h2>\n

Truefitt & Hill, the world\u2019s leader in gentlemen\u2019s grooming, is a must visit for the groom-to-be when in KL. Located downstairs from The Smoke House at The Majestic, the grooming salon comes complete with a tailor and shoe shine area.<\/p>\n

Want to hear it from a gentleman himself? Mr. Polka arrived back from his appointment with barber Sam looking rather dapper and had this to say,<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause I knew prior to leaving for KL that I was booked in with an appointment at Trueffit and Hill, I didn\u2019t have my normal cut and shave before coming – in anticipation.<\/p>\n

And let me tell you I was not disappointed. Not since my good old-fashioned barber retired have I had such a good experience having a cut. Truefitt and Hill are an institution, have been at this for a long time. While Australians are starting to see the benefit of a good barber, these guys never lost sight of it.<\/p>\n

From the moment you sit down in the chair you\u2019re in for a treat.<\/p>\n

I opted for a pretty simple cut and beard trim. As I\u2019m from that select group of less on top and more on the face, the bulk of my time was spent with the work being done on the beard. The hair cut for me was a pretty quick affair, but done with great precision and care.<\/p>\n

The care given to the beard trim is something I haven\u2019t experienced in a very long time. A full range of products was used to ensure the experience went smoothly, as did the blade. From the warm towel beginning to the cool towel ending, it was entirely relaxing and an experience I would happily enjoy again.”

Buy all the scents<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s not a secret that smell evokes strong memories; so choosing a scent just for your wedding day is a must.<\/p>\n
