Then there\u2019s the nannies, known as Meimeis, who are available at most resorts to pop in and look after your kids while you escape for a romantic evening or even a day out. 4. Meet the locals<\/h2>\n

If you want to add some extra special, meaningful moments to your trip make the effort to meet the locals. Known as the happiest people on Earth, the Fijians are always happy to say hello, and love to showcase their local customs. A Nadi half day tour<\/a> gives you a taste of local life. You\u2019ll tour the historic town of Viseisi, learning more about traditional ceremonies and handicrafts, before heading to a sprawling garden home to more than 2,000 different varieties of orchids, before finishing up with a stop at the beautiful Sri Siva Subrahmaniya Swami Temple. And that\u2019s just the ocean-based activities. On land you\u2019ve got all sorts of options including quad biking, caving, ziplining and some very special hikes to keep you busy.
