No hot shower after hiking all day
We, a party of 3, planned to spend 3 nights, but cut our vacation short by one day. The day of our arrival, we noticed that the single handle control for the tub/shower did not work. At its best, it mixed much cold water with a little hot one to make the shower “warm cold”. We wrote a message telling the property management about this and asked for a fix the next day. Due to the weak cell phone signal, it took many tries to send and finally went out after midnight. We got a reply telling us the office would be open 7am to 10 pm and someone would get back ASAP. The second day had warm sunshine and blue sky. We hiked part of the 4-mile trail up toward the Glacier Point and trails around the Ahwahnee. When we got back after much exercise and sweating, we couldn’t tell if anyone had stopped by. When we tried the faucet in the tub, it did come out with a burst of hot water, but then it went back to the old behavior. One person in our party was brave enough to take the shower, but he came out shivering. So we wrote another message to tell the management team we demanded a resolution by 10 am the next day; otherwise, we would leave one day earlier and ask for a refund. It took a few tries but the message went out after 10 pm. Again, we got the canned answer saying the team would respond 7am to 10pm. On the third day, we didn’t get any response, so we started packing at 10am and left. We simply cannot stand the thought of another day touring in the park without a proper shower. The day after we got home (the last day of our vacation as originally planned), we finally received a text message. It didn’t acknowledge any thing about the broken shower control, yet asked us to take the garbage out and put the dishes in the washer. Sorry! We left the subject rental the day before and we had been charged $169 for cleaning.

Great location
We enjoyed our stay at the Cozy bear cabin! Excellent location to Yosemite Valley and Glacier point. My husband and I rock climbed half dome while here! The whole family did hiking all throughout the park, just beautiful! Clean place with a well stocked kitchen that we used to cook all our dinners as there aren’t restaurants nearby except for a few busy places in the valley. Loved all the bear decor! WiFi worked but requires patience for things to load.

Perfect cottage
My family of 5 stayed three nights at Cozy Bear in early August. We lucked out finding this property which is inside Yosemite National Park and only 30 minutes drive to the valley. The cottage itself is small, but the design of being built on 4 levels creates privacy. The bottom level was the den area, which also had a large pull-out sofa and TV. The middle level contained the kitchen. The next level was the master bedroom and sole bathroom. Finally, the top level was a bedroom with two full size beds. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. There was no A/C, but there were fans and the weather at night was fine for us (we are from New Orleans!). As others have noted, there is "bear decor" everywhere which I absolutely adored! It was very homey and cute. I loved opening our bedroom window and feeling the breeze and seeing the view. The neighborhood was quiet which I also liked. The kitchen is small, but had everything we needed plus some things we didn't expect (like olive oil, baggies, etc.). It is true that the wifi is not good in the cottage, but we did not go to Yosemite to be on our computers. There is good wifi in the valley area. We would definitely recommend cozy bear!
