This home was a perfect spot for our family to be snowbound over Thanksgiving week. We are a family of five adults and three children, 11, 9 and 6. With four bedrooms and four bathrooms there was plenty of room for all. The pool table, pump organ and bar room were an added feature which worked out well for being snowbound. Preparing meals in the large kitchen and spacious dining area was fun for all as we gathered around the cooks and watched it snow for three days. The kitchen is very well stocked with all that we needed along with the laundry room next to the kitchen. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of linens, blankets, towels and pillows for all, even when it gets chilly at night. We were grateful for the supply of wood on the porch which we used to keep the wood stoves stoked. When we arrived the heaters were on and inside and outside lights were on which felt very welcoming as we approached in the snow. There is an amazing supply of games and more videos than we could watch in a month. The children spent many hours outside in the snow, playing board games and shooting pool and never once asked to watch TV or movies. We created an amazing sledding run with the children's plastic sleds, I think ours was the best in the neighborhood. The groundskeeper did a great job of plowing us out twice as the snow kept falling. We could have used a large shovel at the house, we only had emergency shovels in the car, however, we managed to get shoveled out. It was comforting to know we had a working phone in the house since we were off the grid for four days, which to me was an added bonus. When needed we could drive to the valley to send e-mails,etc. Michelle was an excellent host and always promptly responded when we had requests. This home is truly a spot to create fond memories.
