Cons: Staff is not accommodating, comes off rude. I booked 4 rooms for 3 nights. I requested an early check in just for 1 room for 12:30pm for my elderly mom to rest, they quickly said no. Without even trying. Comes the time to check in, only 3 rooms available. At first they were to put us on 2 different floors, not acknowledging our special requests which was agreed upon. Had to argue before they gave us 4 rooms on the same floor. AND I didnt get the key for the 4th room until 5/5:30pm. During check out, I asked for ONE room (out of the 4) to have a late check out at 2pm, and had to argue with the staff. You would think after giving us a late check in, they would just give us a late check in, but nope. Had to again argue about it before they gave in. You see, great customer service goes a long way. They get ZERO star on that. Rooms are small. Food was basic. Nothing to brag about. Lets just say, Im not coming back. Pros: Location.

Liked the breakfast, awesome. Ate at the restaurant a couple of times, that was a nice experience, wonderful staff and great food. Walking nearby was an adventure, you have to walk on the street mostly. But it was very handy to the train station and close to Malioboro St which was nice.

- The reception staff were not very inviting or welcoming - The room is actually a lot smaller than it looks in pictures - Breakfast options weren’t very tasty - quite loud due to nearby movements of trains, so it’s hard to get proper rest - the reception can make contact to tell you about the check out time but not when you have something waiting for you at reception…

The fridge should not called for what it is because it's warm. Small room but OK. Noisy. Because Many local guests with kids and many people occupied in same room. The rooftop lounge is the best thing in this hotel. Good views and quiet. The only quiet place in this entire hotel. Many tourists from China. Noisy everywhere. Close to train station and Malioboro St. Some staffs are rather square faces but some others were very polite and well mannered. I wouldn't go back though

The room was clean, tv had good variety, hot water was constant, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is right across from the train station so it's extremely convenient if you arrive by train. There really isn't much to do around the area, except walking along Malioboro St.

Hotel Neo is a great place to stay while visiting Yogyakarta. It's across the street from the train station and walking distance to Malioboro street. Very clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast was amazing and was able to sit outside on the balcony to eat. They also have a rooftop bar with great views.

I like Hotel Neo by Aston Yogyakarta because my mother and brother can check in easily and they told me they were happy to stay at the hotel, breakfast was delicous, swimming pool was great, the staff was very helpfull. Thank you for Front Office team and Housekeeping team plus F&B team.. every staff/every employee. thank you. If my Mom happy then I am happy. - Minus part : The Wifi was very slow.

The check in was smooth and efficient. The breakfast offers a multitude of choices. Had to change my reservation dates. The receptionist was very professional. It was done in minutes. I do recommend this hotel to all those that will visit Jogyakarta in the future. Close to the train station and just a short walk away from the famous Malioboro street

Pros - conveniently close to the train station Cons - conveniently close to the train station The train blasts its horn at least 3 times a night, the room we had was no very well insulated against any outside sound. Very hard to get a good nights sleep.

Friendly staff but the room is basic. Towels need to be fresher and walls are thin so you can hear everything from anyone at corridor to the train and traffic (Hotel is opposite the train station). So if you can’t deal with noise maybe think twice.

Very good hotel
It is very good hotel near Malioboro street and train station. Room was clean, staff was nice they are so respectful and friendly. Breakfast was very good with a lot of different choices. Wifi was working without any problems. Sky lounge have good view but expected more variety of bbq foods. Milkshake was good ;)

Good stay overall. But I need to say that service was really bad. The staff spoke little bit English only. We asked for restaurants recommendations and sightseeing, no one helped us. We tried to have a drink at their rooftop bar, we couldn’t, since the hotel had reserved the place all days until the end of the ramadan, for people outside the hotel and hotel customers. This was really Rooms are nice and clean. Pool is nice, but was closing at 4pm while it is suppose to close at 9pm, because of the ramadan...Again, disappointing. Finally, it isn’t a bad hotel, but I just didn’t had a great time there.

The room was a bit small but no grouses otherwise. The room and hotel in general were clean, and staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is also conveniently located near the Jalan Malioboro shopping stretch.

Good location for a visit to Yogyakarta
Good location - just steps away from the central Yogyakarta train station and Maliboro street, so the area is very walkable. Room was comfortable, spacious and clean. It was nice that bottled water was provided as well. Wifi was also very good, with very good upload and download speeds. Staff were generally helpful, but I found that upon check in, the desk staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves rather than getting me into my room, which was a little disappointing, especially considering that it appeared that there were 4 staff behind the desk and in the office behind the desk. However, upon check out, porters were attentive and were able to help me with bags. Overall, a good value hotel with good creature comforts.

Good: The staff were very good and very helpful. The breakfast was great. The room was basic but lovely and clean. Room service food was also great and well priced. Not so good: There wasn't any drawer space for clothes. No lounges around pool to relax on. We weren't able to eat in any of the restaurants because they had been booked out privately for Ramadan. I think a certain number of tables should have been reserved for paying guests.

Incorrect star rating on Hotels.com
For the price per room, this hotel was okay for 2 nights. The disappointment was that when we arrived at the hotel, we discovered that it was a 2.5 star but it is listed on Hotels.com as 3.5 star. We were therefore expecting much more, especially as we had come from a very good Neo Hotel in Yogyakarta.
