Great location. Staff was really friendly. Room was clean. The bathroom was relatively small. Our room had a connecting door and we got some noise from the adjoining room.

I really wasn’t happy with my first impression of the front staff from the day I checked in and checked out they did not seem happy to be there and wise to even help. One suggestion, a smile goes a long way. Or a simple, how can I help you you. If you are busy with other people maybe call on someone to help you out but most of all and above all a smile goes a long way.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful and out stay was pretty comfortable. The only issues were there was no fan in the bathroom at least in the room we had which made it impossible to take a shower without leaving the door open. Also watch the drinks at the bar. I was charged 2 different prices for the same drink. Otherwise it was a good stay.

Nice hotel for the price. Clean and convenient. A couple of blocks from DuPont Circle and the Metro. Some good neighborhood bars / restaurants right around the corner. Parking was valet $60 per day. Would stay here again.

Everything was fine, I could have easily given 5 stars all around had it not been for the check-out experience. I made it a point to physically check-out at the desk and ask for my summary of charges, for which I was immediately told, "all set". Obviously I fell under the impression my card would not be charged since I took the time to ask. I specifically did not want any surprise charges. And to my surprise a few days later I was charged $190! Such an awful experience. I have contacted the hotel to understand why I am being charged and then I plan to report the charges to my credit card as fraud.

The best part about this property was the location, but beyond that we were very disappointed by our experience at The Darcy- especially as we expected much more from a 4-star hotel. We booked this hotel weeks in advance. Upon our arrival, we saw a "Valet Parking Full" sign. Nobody was outside to tell us where to park, and the receptionist did not tell us anything until we asked. We were very disappointed as we expected to have parking available, and the receptionist had a very rude, unsympathetic attitude. We got a list of parking garages, none of which were very close to the hotel which was inconvenient for moving luggage in/out. In addition, there were no prices or contact information listed- and half of them aren't open 24 hours. The rooms are standard, although they're on the smaller side. No complimentary breakfast nor a microwave available. During check-in there was a guest asking the receptionist if there was a place she could microwave her takeout- she was also met with a rude attitude. Between barking dogs and the loud AC unit, we could not get our room changed, nor were we offered anything to make up for our poor experience. The bathroom ventilation was broken, so we suspect the humidity after showers was what caused all the mold in the grout. The insulation is nonexistent- you can also hear your upstairs neighbor singing in the shower, alongside the dogs and AC. The Holiday Inn next door would probably be a better value for the same location.

First, the valet service was excellent. Our car expiration did not terminate until we departed at 3PM! The room, while small, but very adequate, was on the back side of the hotel, which was quiet and not on a street. We needed some room service help when the coffee maker was not properly setup and this was done quickly and efficiently. The front desk and bell hop personnel were pleasant and efficient. We enjoyed an out-of-door light breakfast and one breakfast indoors and the croissants were fresh and warm and coffee good. We were able to walk to the White House and museums without hardship. Would we stay here again? YES!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the check in process was easy and quick, and the valet for my car was worth every penny. Our room was CLEAN! I travel most months of the year for work, this was a vacation btw, and I rarely see a room in large city as clean and in such good repair is this one. The previous few nights we stayed near Princeton University in a similarly rated and priced hotel that had a 'trick' to using the toilet to give context. The view was great from our room and the Mall was a 15-20 minute easy walk. I will be coming back to DC, most likely for work, and will do my best to stay here again every time.

Very well located property in pretty good condition. Staff was not unfriendly but did not go out of their way to accommodate us. Checking in felt rushed (no one else was there) and we were not informed about some of the amenities. When I asked about the benefits of the Expedia vip status, they were put out but finally agreed to give us a minor upgrade (street facing room).

There was an added « amenities » fee of 35$/ night that I was not aware of. The staff don’t tell us about it at check in. That fee also is not optional. It’s mandatory. I didn’t use the gym, also didn’t get to benefit from the happy hour cocktail due to the long line up. I feel like that should be optional
