The best part about this property was the location, but beyond that we were very disappointed by our experience at The Darcy- especially as we expected much more from a 4-star hotel.
We booked this hotel weeks in advance. Upon our arrival, we saw a "Valet Parking Full" sign. Nobody was outside to tell us where to park, and the receptionist did not tell us anything until we asked. We were very disappointed as we expected to have parking available, and the receptionist had a very rude, unsympathetic attitude. We got a list of parking garages, none of which were very close to the hotel which was inconvenient for moving luggage in/out. In addition, there were no prices or contact information listed- and half of them aren't open 24 hours.
The rooms are standard, although they're on the smaller side. No complimentary breakfast nor a microwave available. During check-in there was a guest asking the receptionist if there was a place she could microwave her takeout- she was also met with a rude attitude. Between barking dogs and the loud AC unit, we could not get our room changed, nor were we offered anything to make up for our poor experience.
The bathroom ventilation was broken, so we suspect the humidity after showers was what caused all the mold in the grout. The insulation is nonexistent- you can also hear your upstairs neighbor singing in the shower, alongside the dogs and AC.
The Holiday Inn next door would probably be a better value for the same location.
