About this property

Jade Oasis with hot tub next to Volcanoes National Park.

Just built and finished 3/2017. We are located in Mauna Loa Estates. Aprox. 2 mile from Volcanoes National Park. Custom built home in the forest. Private courtyard with 6 person hot tub. Each room has 14 inch memory foam mattresses. Imported Bali batik comforters and velour blankets. In room mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Private tub and shower. Full bath and sink.
Outdoor private lanai table and chairs looking out to the forest. All rooms are cleaned with bleach and lysol. Sheets and towels washed before each guest.

Quiet essentials on Volcanoes NP boundary
Quiet private inn with easy access to Volcanoes National Park. The complimentary coffee and papaya were much appreciated. Had a little trouble with Wi-Fi, which was resolved satisfactorily. Hot tub was clean and a good temperature.

Needs a serious clean up
Although I greaty apprecoated the hospitality (the woner helped me significantly with the check in/ settling), this was the dirtiest opriperty I have seen on the island + it has roaches roaming the rental room. Literally. Conventinally Volcano also has very high prices (on everything) because of its proximity to the park -- there is nothing else around said park but rainy Hilo -- but this property charges twice (if not thrice) for what it's worth. I absolutely owuld recommend everyone to rent in Hilo

Perfect for us!
So close to the volcano, arriving at night, the hot tub with lighted decor was enchanting! The only hiccup was one of the cats stole our bathing suit from our lanai, but we found it, so no harm done! My granddaughter wanted to stay forever!

Comfortable and convenient studio
This place is nicely decorated and very convenient to visit the locations around Volcano National Park. The host left fruit, yogurt, and banana muffins water which was very helpful. There were books to learn more about scenic day trips and hikes. The bedroom area and the patio were comfortable. It was very close to nearby stores, the gas station and restaurants.

Really nice interesting room. Very nice touch with free muffins, yogurt and coffee for the morning. We loved the hot tub after a cool rainy day in Volcano Park! Only issue was trying to figure out the TV system. It would be nice to have a set of instructions for those of us that don't have smart TV's and unfamiliar with the Spectrum Cable stuff!

The cleaning process was not completed in our room. There was still a 1/2 pot of coffee on the coffee maker left from the previous clients. Our friends in another room got a papaya, we did not. However, muffins and yogurt were tasty. We had not heard from John about our room number prior to check in and had to text him for it.

The room was as described but the condition of the 5 apartment property was pretty messy and overwhelming. what I liked, the coffee and muffins. The patio and quiet evenings. Location! What I would have changed, upkeep of property, better communication for check in and out. We never met the owners.
