The food and restaurants here were fantastic. In Friday night there was a singer and guitarist in the Pool Bar. The staff made us feel very welcome. We’ll be going back for our next special celebration. This was for my husband’s 60th. Wonderful✨

Nice, but not worth the price
The view of the ocean is beautiful. The hotel is small and intimate. The service was great - very friendly staff that made you feel welcome. Food was really good at the pool bar and Rick Stein restaurant. But for the price they charge per night, the hotel is underwhelming. The spa deluxe room was nice, but for the price I expect it and the amenities to be less basic. It seems more a nice motel than luxury hotel, so I would expect the price to be much lower.

A romantic place to stay
Delightful stay, from the lovely greeting on arrival, the breathtaking view, that exceeded expectations, to the amazing food at Rick Stein’s restaurant. Such a wonderful experience, we were planning our next visit during our stay.

Overrated 'not' luxury property
This property costs a lot and you get very little for it. The property is run down and the rooms are in need of extensive renovation. The room service was below standard. Could say more but I just would not recommend.

Bannisters is surrounded by natural beauty. The rooms are cosy and have all of your creature comforts. Loved listening to the sounds of the sea rolling in from my room and waking to the invigorating sea air in the morning. A beautiful stay.

The restaurant remains a highlight. The bar is also a lovely place to enjoy a drink before dinner. The rose was excellent.

The location was amazing and the staff were all super friendly. A shame the spa was booked out, so definitely make sure to book that as soon as you book your room, but we were lucky enough to get a booking for some fabulous seafood at the famous Rick Stein restaurant on site and that was DELICIOUS! All in all, we enjoyed our trip very much!

Bannisters was just a perfect Christmas escape for us .. the location on the headland was magic, enjoying ocean views and waking up to the sound of the waves each day . The room was spacious and comfortable, the cocktail lounge provided a great space near the pool to have a drink and enjoy the scenery and Rick Steins restaurant fantastic on Christmas Day .. the perfect visit .

Top class says it all. Luxury without the modern buildings Front and centre sea views from all rooms Whales jumping out front while relaxing around the pool with a G & T lucky day for us but it happens all the time Had the Dinnigan suite and could not fault anything All I can say is your missing out if you don't go there Plus there is nice food also ha ha

Beautiful views and very comfortable room, We stayed two nights and ate at Rick Stein's restaurant both nights. The food is very good indeed and we enjoyed excellent seafood. The staff are lovely and service was great although it was disappointing that our request for a table with a view was ignored by the manager even though we were there twice.

We have mixed feelings about our stay at Bannisters. The location is STUNNING, and the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are great, though they could probably use a refresh. The restaurant is wonderful, and the staff were welcoming. We didn't feel like the hotel offered much value. I'll go as far as to say it was overpriced, and some things actually felt a bit petty. To start, if you book through Expedia, you do not get the included continental breakfast. I called the hotel before booking to ask questions about the different rooms, and was told there was no difference between booking on their website or through Expedia. When I told this to them on checkin, we were told we could purchase the continental breakfast for $25 per person, per day. After checking in to our room, I did was most of us do and connected to the "free wifi". I was a bit annoyed to find out that to use the wifi, you have to agree to receive marketing emails from not only Bannisters, but a fairly vague "our partners". This reads to me as "we're going to sell your email to marketers". I begrudgingly agreed, only to be taken to another step where I had to share a check-in on facebook. This is all fine for a mall, or an airport, but it just felt cheap at a 4.5 star resort. We spent more on this hotel than anything in our past, and both agreed that you're paying that premium exclusively for the location, and nothing more. It's a 3-4 star hotel minus the location.

Fantastic Romantic Weekend Away
We loved our stay at Bannisters. The room was beautiful and the view was amazing. We stayed in a spa room. We got to relax in a spa on the deck overlooking the ocean. The staff were genuinely lovely. Loved the pool bar and Rick Stein’s restaurant was amazing. It was a great romantic trip away, highly recommend.

Very comfortable hotel in a great location with a nice restaurant as well as a pool bar. Very relaxing to hear the sounds of the ocean and the private spa tub on the deck was a bonus.

Loved this property, it was perfect for a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. Loved all the little touches to make for a fun and relaxing time at the hotel like dvd and board game library. The service was relaxed and friendly, but still to the standard that you would expect.
