"This boitique hotel is very relaxing. Everyone is so helpful. The accommodations are just like the photos. I had a wonderful stay!"

3/5 Okay
"Hotel has great potential, but is very poorly managed. This is a very expensive hotel and does not provide a service in line with what is charged.
The beach is gourgeous, but full with plastic waste that comes from the sea. All neighboring hotels and restaurants clean their beaches, this one does not.
Additionally, the hotel charges disproportionate prices on everything: transfer from Cancun airport is 3x more than what we paid, a meal is 2x more than any restaurant in the village, a tour to the natural reserve is 3x more expensive."

"It’s secluded and yet not far from a very charming little village with some amazing and humble people. The place is great for a quick getaway from it all. Super charming. Pablo is awesome as the desk clerk and waiter/bar tender."

Paradise in paradise!
"Our stay at Villas Roseliz in Punta Allen was beyond wonderful. A cute and small hotel mere steps from one of the most beautiful beaches and oceans we have ever seen. Large, very clean rooms and bathrooms off a garden courtyard on the beach. A short walk to anywhere in town which offers a number of restaurants and a couple small convenience stores. David and his family made our 5 day stay even more memorable. Highly recommend the eco-tour where you get to explore the lagoon and reef and see tons of wildlife. David was the perfect guide with all his local knowledge and easy going mindset. Can't recommend this place enough and already dreaming of a time when we can return. "

"The end of the road, literally:)
The house is very comfortable and once we figured out that a bit of bug spray got rid of mosquitoes we were all good.
Nikki our local host (she runs a hotel in town) was very welcoming and helpful (lent me a guitar, let us use her own private beach) and Mariano helped us get bikes ready. The road to get there is a challenge and you need to be up for a lot of potholes to negotiate . It took us about 2.5 hours for the 30 mile dirt road in a midsize rental suv (not AWD) and I am comfortable driving dirt roads. The trip back out felt harder.
Also, just like the whole coast of that part of the world it is sad to see all this plastic piling up on the beaches. No matter how much you clean up more is back the next day… this is not an issue with the property, it is the case everywhere in the region…
Otherwise be ready to either live in simple foods from the village (fresh fish and lobster, not a bad thing :)) or pack up a bit with you from Tulum grocery store.
We loved how simple our lives were there and we actually forgot our departure date and would have missed our flight by a day if our daughter had not checked her emails on the house wifi (it works well)!
Maybe a way to explore to get there is to rent a boat ride from Tulum (2 hours long?) "

Just like home
"This home was in a great neighborhood with several swimmable cenotes within walking distance.
The house is small but adequate.
There was even beach gear and a bike you could use.
There's a small swimming pool.
I loved sitting outside in back by the pool."

Relaxing jungle home for the moderately adventurous
"We really enjoyed our stay at casa Yolanda! The location is different from what vrbo says, it is not an 8 minute walk from the beach, it’s about a ten minute drive. You will need a car to stay here ( recommend Manuel rent a car in Cancun).
Billy welcomed us at the property and showed us around. He even hooked us up with bikes to ride around while we were there. There are several free(and paid) bikeable cenotes in the area.
Chemuyil is an adorable town and we had a blast exploring the area.
The kitchen was great to cook in, gas and electric range, filtered water, blender, juicer, and the basics to cook. The house has beach umbrellas, and a cooler for guests to use as well. Wi-Fi, and air conditioning worked great.
The house is beautiful! We loved it! However there are a few things to be aware of:
The deck is a bit old and has some dry rot, I noticed it when we first arrived, unfortunately my hubby fell through a soft spot and scuffed/bruised his leg. They came and repaired it the next day, but there are still a few areas that seem unsteady.
The hot tub only worked intermittently, which was disappointing. Billy sent maintenance out to fix it, but it seemed to stop working completely after that. If the hot tub is really important to you, be sure to check that it’s functioning before your trip.
There is a neighborhood dog that does seem to bark a lot. It didn’t bother me much but my friends I stayed with didn’t enjoy it.
Overall, the house made our trip amazing!"

4/5 Good
"The place is striking and the rooms look as they did online. The air conditioning worked well. Occasionally the water stopped, only for about a minute but when you are showering…The kitchen is very pretty and has a great stove but only one small pan, one small pot, nothing with covers for cooking (perhaps the usual crowd eats out all the time?). Perfect for 3 days, one of which we spent out. Good wi-fi. "

"Worth the long bumpy drive. Do not try to drive in a car. SUV or truck only and make sure you have a full tank of gas and plenty of water. "
