Rambutan is my absolute go-to in Townsville. Lovely friendly staff, great amenities, super location, an upbeat vibe, a pool that has plenty of shade (yay!) and good options for food and drink without having to leave (read: poolside cocktails with great background music as well as a dining menu all at your fingertips). Casual, but delightful. Well appointed King rooms with enough space. I'll be back again for sure!

Really happy to have stayed at Rambutan. This is an area with plenty of bars and eateries in easy walking distance. The rooms where comfortable and recently updated and the pool/bar area is very nice. They also turn the music off/close the bar etc at a very reasonable time so you can enjoy the amenity without it being an annoyance in the room. Great staff and good value.

Stayed 2 nights at Rambutan Resort. Clean room with comfortable beds. Rooms are on rooftop level surrounding the pool which was nice and clean and lovely spot to relax. Restaurant also on this level, had a bit of noise at night, but closes at 10pm, so quiet after that. Not far to get to ferry wharf to visit Magnetic Island or to walk to other restaurants. Breakfast onsite was reasonable prices and tasty. Only issue we had was water leaking from the wall in 1 corner of the bathroom, from sink or air con maybe, couldn’t tell (only noticed on 2nd evening). Advised front desk when we checked out, so hopefully fixed by maintenance!

Very clean towels & bedding. Comfortable bed. Room small but more than adequate. Food very good value, basic in downstairs bar but not expensive. All meals we saw upstairs around pool looked very appetising - very busy with locals so couldn't get a table. Would recommend for short stay.

I really loved the convenience of having a pool, a room, and a restaurant all in one place, with the added bonus of a beautiful open view from the restaurant. It was so convenient that I didn't have to walk far or take a lift to find these facilities. Everything I needed was just five steps away, which is exactly what I was looking for. The reception staff went above and beyond to provide exceptional service and make their customers happy. They truly made a difference in my stay. The hotel was quiet, safe, and clean, with no disturbances from drunk people or any shouting or screaming. It was a perfect choice for solo travelers who value peace and tranquility. While it may not be a five-star hotel or resort, it offers a simple and comfortable experience. In fact, it may be the best option in town if you're looking for a hotel where everything is within easy reach from your room.

Staff are outstanding
The staff were absolutely amazing. Felt like we had the pool practically to ourselves the entire time. Eat every dinner in the poolside restaurant, with fresh generous sized meals. Great location, very short walk to the ferry terminal.

This place is amazing! An all in one place to stay, play and eat. Food and drinks are excellent with very friendly and helpful staff. The only negative for us was our room was next to the night club next door and the bathroom is tiny. We will definitely stay again it’s so convenient, especially with kids.

Great stay, only fault was the downstairs carpark is hard to drive in and out of due to the steepness, I have a standard height sedan and scrapped going in and out.

Staff were excellent. Loved the pool on the rooftop. The room was nice (shower and toilet had separate doors), always like it when there is a kettle, fridge and tea, coffee & milk. We ate in the rooftop bar and the food was really good. It was good to have parking too.

The place is awesome, central to everything and great price. Only negative is bed was like sleeping on wooden floor , hardest mattress ive ever slept on but thats person preference and im sure some like their mattress thos way.. 5 star place 3 star price !! Totally recommend

The woman who checked us in was Fabulous!! The service in the rooftop bar and grill also terrific. The ladies cation was good but the property is older and it shows. Room was small and bathroom even smaller. All in all we had a nice stay.

Really lovely staff and nice pool area. Unfortunately the rooms surround the pool and restaurant and you can hear the music in your room until the restaurant closes. Mattress was pretty uncomfortable.
