The staff were amazing. Every single person who I interacted with were friendly, and extremely helpful. I can't overstate how good the staff were. The room wasn't great. It was fine to stay in for a night but I wouldn't stay here again, and I wouldn't want to stay here for more than 1 night. I stayed in room 211 of the south tower over the long weekend and the room was just ok, the beds seemed clean and they were comfortable. The downside: the bathroom fan didn't seem to work, it didn't have a switch and it didn't seem to turn on with the light switch. The bathroom smelled musty and damp. The wallpaper in the bathroom was also dirty, possibly oil marks from hands. The biggest downside: The AC/heat system in the bedroom was extremely loud, we travel with earplugs but it still woke us up a few times throughout the night when it would kick on and rattle. The air coming out of it was also smelly. It seemed like it needed to be serviced. The room was right next to the elevator shafts which added to the noise. And they were running a constantly all night. If you stay here, make sure you're not near the elevators.

Obnoxious guests were accompanying the Marriott Elite members into the free breakfast. There needs to be a better system to monitor. I have been a Marriott member for years and paid $43 for breakfast fir 2 of us (which I understand) but not fair to watch others get free food.

I did like that there was no internet service in either of the rooms that I reserved for the entire length of our stay. There was only one manager who tried to help. Once he was not on duty, no one else was concerned. It took the IT department 3 days to find out that the connection was down in both rooms. No reimbursement nor additional Marriott points were provided. We were told that internet is a complimentary service anyway. Rude! Complimentary services help customers make the choice to stay at a property.

My first room was beside the elevator. It sounded like a train going by. Luckily the front desk arranged to for me to move to a different room, but it was inconvenient to do that at 11:30pm.

Property seems a bit worn, but it is clean. Overpriced for what you receive - I realise it's downtown Toronto but value isn't there. Poor lighting in bathroom - only one mirror in the main room - bathroom had no counter space . Nice hotel, but overpriced
