Very peaceful property with excellent accommodations. Its close to Topeka, but far enough out of town to be quiet and comfortable. My kids enjoyed "exploring" the beautiful property. Thank you so much for a great stay!
We were very impressed with the property! Great beds, beautiful scenery, close to town while still being private. The house is beautifully done and very comfortable. We are now looking for other things to do in the Topeka area. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay
We were in Topeka for State Wrestling. My husband, our daughter and I absolutely loved this place! We are from a small town and wanted something away from the city but close as well. This place exceeded our expectations! It was clean, nice and quiet!! We will definitely stay here in the future if we are around Topeka for wrestling again!!
The pictures don’t do this place justice! If you enjoy the outdoors this place is perfect. It’s a rustic, quiet, cozy cabin. We would definitely stay here again.
A great experience! My family had a great time watching the sunrise and sunset, walking around the property, and cooking hot dogs and s'mores over the fire pit here. Beds were comfortable, home was clean. A great stay! 15-20 minutes from everything in Topeka. Check in process was easy. Laundry facilities on site.
We got there late so didn't really look around. I woke up early the next morning and decided to check it out myself, and it was gorgeous! The sunrise was beautiful, I sat on the back patio and watched it come up across the field. My son loved watching the farm trucks work all day. It was a very nice space, on the absolute best plot of land. No close neighbors which is so appreciated. If we come back that way, we won't hesitate to book again.
We were in town for Unbound, a bike race in Emporia. This cabin is about an hour from Emporia, and only 10-ish minutes from Topeka. Very accessible to anything you need, like Walmart, Target, restaurants, etc., while also being secluded and quiet. The two beds are extremely comfortable, and we got a great night's sleep while we were there! The cabin is very well kept, feels super cozy, and has all the necessary amenities. The owner was very responsive, even though he was on a trip abroad. He was readily available for any questions we had. We met the property caretaker while we were there, too, and he is so friendly! The grounds are beautiful, and there are a few horses in the front. There are also paths on the property to walk and bike, as the property is vastly expansive. Lots of gravel roads around if you're into gravel biking, too!
The home is nice and clean, but it's got TONS of light switches and some don't connect to anything that we could find. They have horses on the property with people to care for them. But it seemed like the whole time my husband and I were at this property two men were always there (not the cloth blinds on the windows are see-through they're only on the windows that are on the back of home) at the garage it seemed like they were there for no reason.....perhaps to watch the property I'm not sure. They'll go out of their way to talk to you... their nice and helpful to tell you there's rattlesnakes and what not. I just feel like if you reserve a place you should have more privacy.
We would love to make this our second home, as we visit family in KS a couple of times a year. The space is well-kept and cozy, beds are super comfy, and the front and back porches are the perfect place to start and finish a day. There were fresh flowers on the table to welcome us and my son even caught a few fish on a handmade fishing pole. The driving range and old school Galaga and Pac Man game were the perfect pasttime as my husband and sons competed for the top spot. Bring your own clubs, balls, and bug spray! The ticks were abundant if you spent a lot of time outside, which we did!
Great communication and lots of memories! Thank you!!
