Great location not too too close to the bar area. The location itself is safe. Close to convenience store like Lawson or 711. Restaurants are also close if you walk a couple blocks. Trains are also walkable to the hotel. Clean hotel, rooms are expected- small but enough room for two people, 2 medium and 1 large luggage if you book the economy room. There is also a coffee shop and restaurant in the hotel. English speaking staff available. Overall, felt safe, convenient, will definitely stay again!

Property and staffs were nice but a way to hotel was full of bars and other hosting places which may can be unsafe at night.

You can’t beat the location if you’re there for night life and bar hopping around Shinjuku. The room was on the small side but not as bad as other hotels. There were some streets around with bars I wouldn’t consider “family friendly” so keep that in mind. But the location still makes this place worth it. No more than a 10 minute walk to anywhere around Shinjuku. Excellent dining, shopping, and entertainment everywhere!

enjoyed our stay back at the granbell. location is good and close to the metro - higashi shinjuku instead of going to the other one otherwise it's a longer walk.

The room was much bigger than we expected. The loft was perfect for our teenage son. We had a great view of Shinjuku and everything was within walking distance. Highly recommend!

nice and well kept hotel. staff was nice, friendly and thoughtful - they are able to speak english as well. convenient location and a couple minute walk from higashi-shinjuku metro station. hotel also has vending machines in the lobby with drinks, snacks & icecream available.

Easy to get around Tokyo once you know the bus routes. You get what you pay for so do not expect a large room or the nicest rooms. It’s good enough for long trips for people on a budget.

New and updated hotel with spacious room. Walkable distance to many dining. shopping, and tourist attractions like Omoide Yokocho, Kabukicho neon lights, Gyoen garden and many many nightlife clubs/bars in Golden Gai! Would definitely stay here again!

Nice view from our room, bed size was good, room was very small, bathroom was clean and functional. Reception was very strict about no early check in and wanted to charge for an extra hour past check out.

Good value. Very clean and great service. It’s about a 12-15 minute walk from Shinjuku station, a major transportation hub. The area itself is on the quieter side of Shinjuku, which I liked. There’s a residential area nearby where you’ll find great cafes if you want more of a local vibe.
