You could not be closer to everything than this. The food is excellent. The staff is excellent. The rooms have enough space, are well organized and clean. Exactly what we wanted.

My son and I stayed at the Metropolitan for 7 nights and were generally very happy with our stay. It's ideally located for the beach and all the bars and restaurants you could possibly want, plus it makes a great base for sightseeing. The room was small but comfortable and we generally slept well. The room cleaning left a bit to be desired, however, when I mentioned it to the reception staff, they made every effort to quickly rectify the situation, even leaving us a lovely fruit platter by way of an apology that evening. There's a nice, clean rooftop pool with a sundeck, which we made good use of, as well as a small gym with basic equipment. The staff work really hard to keep guests happy and are generally polite and friendly. Valentin was particularly helpful and lovely, as was Avi. The hotel tends to be used for teenage tour groups, so expect to see them arriving and departing en masse during the summer months. However, this did not disturb us or cause a problem. The breakfast buffet is superb! So much choice, along with certain dishes I have never tried before and have since tried to replicate at home. All in all, we were very happy with our choice and felt the Metropolitan provided good value for money. Even though it's not the most opulent of hotels, we felt very 'at home' there. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Tel Aviv.

The hotel is mediocre and the toilet didn’t flush properly, also the drains in both the sink and bathtub were very slow and filled up while using the water

Great location for beach , market , restaurants and shops. Enjoyed days split pool and beach. Great breakfast choice. The large noisy tour groups were annoying at times - most kids pleasant but not all ! Rooms beach side have great views - windows spoit it slightly as filthy. Fab aircon in hotel and rooms. Will be back.

The hotel’s location is fantastic. Right off the beach without the expense of the beach hotels. We stayed in an updated room which was extremely clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed. The pool area is small & not somewhere you’d want to lounge for a long time, but nice for a dip in the pool. Breakfast was very good, staff was friendly & helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay.

The property is near the beach, other hotels, shuk, Jaffa City and museums. The issue is the breakfasts. I couldn't get the hotel or expedia to tell me if breakfasts are included or not.

Very well placed, 2 minutes walk to the beach frontage. Easy walk to the main centre for bars and restaurants. Good breakfast selection. Poor bar area. Nice lounge/lobby

I have stayed in different hotels during my travels to Asia, Europe , Mexico and the USA. Metropolitan Hotel surpassed most of the ones I stayed at. The Customer Care is Exceptional.Valentin’s professionalism and organizational skills is top of the line. He accurately guided us on how to have a great experience in touring the areas of interests and where to safely get to the places of necessity. Ronit was very welcoming and even offered us a free meal upon arrival from a very long flight. Zebulon, the Restaurant Manager was so gracious and invited us for lunch, we experienced the true meaning of Shabath Shalom. Ahmed made sure we took something to snack on for our whole day tour just in case we’ll have a late lunch. The staff at this hotel are the prime example of Excellent Customer Service. they just don’t do business. They really emulate that they care for the guests. They all made sure our stay is comfortable, enjoyable and all our needs and expectations are met. I highly recommend stay in this hotel. Special thanks to Valentin. Awesome service! Thank you everyone.

I love Tel Aviv! The Metropolitan Hotel is very conveniently located to beaches, restaurants, shopping & most of the things one likes to do in Tel Aviv. For me it is also close to family! I had a great 12 day stay over Sukkot & Simchas Torah while visiting my daughter & grandchildren.

Great Value For A Family
You'd be hard-pressed to find better value accommodation in Tel Aviv. The location is fantastic, especially for a beach holiday, but it is an easy walk to the Dizengoff Centre and Carmel markets. The reception staff were all helpful and patient, the buffet breakfast is good value in an expensive and the pool is a bonus. Would definitely stay there again.

I really liked how close it was to the beach at this price. I didn't like how much dirt was everywhere, including the vents. I don't like shower curtains that have stains. They don't have free water, tea or coffee except if you are lucky to get the breakfast included in your stay. You don't even have the option to purchase water after 9pm or so. They are located in a good part of the city so there are shops within walking distance.

I loved the staff day-time as well as the night-time.... eager to listen and make things right. I was overcharged to a trip to jerusalem, however the managers were able to retrieve whatever money was owed to me. I was surprised to have the envelope with the money inside. ...it was somewhat refreshing. I also left jewelery in the room and the cleaning ladies never touched it. It was just incredible...BRAVO. I’ve never seen such a filthy hotel. When I arrived there was a used towel in the shower, mold and dirt on the floor. When I complained, they said they would send someone to clean it but it remained filthy. Lots of teen tours at the hotel so noisy.

DO NOT STAY HERE! What you see on pictures isn’t what you get. They make you pay upfront and won’t refund you if something is wrong. In my case they gave me a moulded room that smelt! I argued with the manager for over a hour trying to get my refund. Eventually I had to go to another hotel to stay after a 13hrs flight. They still won’t refund me! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

This hotel is “ok”. Pluses: location is unbeatable, stumbling distance to great beaches and fun retail/restaurants. The breakfast is A . Minuses: It’s fairly rundown. The room conditions are poor; everything needs a refresh/overhaul. It’s hard for it to feel clean in this condition, but it wasn’t dirty either. With respect to staff, they were very unhelpful. They seem put out with any questions or requests like “how can I get a taxi?” Or “may I have a sheet that actually fits my bed, so I don’t have to sleep on the bare mattress?” Service Is poor in israel in general but this was above and beyond that. Overall, wouldn’t stay again, but it’s fine if you get a good price and are on a budget, if you’re not obsessed with cleanliness, want to focus on beach and night life, and want a solid breakfast.

Liked location which was convenient to city & beach. Didn't like quality of breakfast. The food was plentiful but generally tasteless and land. Not enough gluten-free alternatives. Rice cakes don't qualify as substitute for bread as there are lots of real breads that are gluten free. One only has to go to ShuferSal or Mega to find them.
