I stayed 1 nights at Hotel Uzbekistan in Feb 2024. Hotel Uzbekistan is a great hotel in Tashkent. Rooms are nice and clean. Hotel Uzbekistan is next to Amir Timur Square and Amir Timur Metro Station. Great place to stay. I recommend Hotel Uzbekistan for visitors to Tashkent.

An excellent and value for money option right in the Tashkent's city centre for travelers who would like to experience soviet utilitarian architecture at first hand. Accommodation, furniture, elevators, decoration, reception, stairs, doors etc are all coming straight from the 70s. Property although very long in the tooth is kept very clean and staff is very friendly. Food at restaurant is very good. Do not compare it with other more luxurious options in the area. It's a league of its own.

I think this was the worst place that I've ever stayed in and I travel about 60-70 nights per year for my work. Some examples: The hotel did not have hot water during my entire stay. The internet signal only worked in the lobby, it did not reach to the fifth floor. The electrical outlets use old style British plugs which are no longer used in Uzbekistan. The front desk did not have any converters available but told me I could buy one from the shop on the first floor, but the shop was closed each time I went to check. All in all, I would avoid this place like the plague!
