Our room was large and quiet. The bed was comfortable. Parking was easy. There is a very nice beach walk just below the hotel. Staff communication before we arrived was good via text. A few heads up for N American visitors: There is a labor shortage in Tasmania, as in much of Australia. Front desk coverage is very limited. Don't expect someone to be there to answer questions after 5 p.m. This motel is more like an Airbnb where you don't see staff. Be sure to ask for the WiFi password, ice, or anything else you might want before you get there. There is no staff available after 5 pm unless your hair is on fire.

If you had walked into the office and asked us to cancel we would have gladly let you leave. Our motel was full and other would have gladly taken your room and loved it

The view of my room is spectacular! Room is perfect and bedding is very comfortable. I was joining the SPOKE event at Mayfield Estate, this property is only few minutes away, very convenient.

Great spot but the budget rooms need a little TLC. Staff extremely friendly and helpful with a lot of knowledge about where to stop off next. They shared information on where to eat and visit which we did and it was great.

We booked a standard room with water view and stayed there for 3 nights. We did enjoy our breakfast in the garden every morning looking at this beautiful water view. It located close to supermarket and restaurants so you don’t need to worry if you miss to bring any necessities and find place to eat. The only bad thing we find is; there’s not many plugs being installed inside the room, we need to unplug kettle and heater to charge our phones and other electronic devices.

Wonderful family run motel with the best views of the bay. The rooms were spacious and had everything you would need. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the gardens were so well kept, they added to the cared-for feeling of the property. I wish we knew how good it is as we would have stayed longer. Great welcome book with lots of excellent information and laughs.

Basic but comfortable motel in Swansea right on the water. Had a waterfront room which was beautiful. Room and bathroom were spacious and bed was comfortable. Walking distance to dining options etc and a good base when visiting Freycinet and wineries. The proprietor Stuart was friendly and very helpful with information about places to visit in the area and further on. His advice was much appreciated.

My room had a walkout patio overlooking Oyster cove. The room, while tidy, was not overly clean. Soap scum on the shower screen, mould under the mobility rail above the bath.

Overall is good staying, it’s very quiet and our room has a balcony facing the sea view. However, the heater is not working which causes the room a little bit cold for us, and one of the socket is a bit damaged already (located in the bathroom). Easy check in and check out, the staff was very friendly.

Hi Leigh,Yes the budget rooms are the older smaller rooms, the furniture is not as new as the more expensive ocean side. However all the beds through the motel are new. Sadly if we put new furniture in the price would no longer be as cheap as it is. So although it isnt as modern it is still strong and comfortable.
