Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Stanley Hotel. Our room was cosy & well appointed. We found staff were friendly, helpful & ready for a chat. Hotel also has an amazing bistro with a great menu.

Stanley is really cool and the hotel beautifully fits in. Visit the ultra cool wine bar across the road too!!!

Great hotel in a charming place
Very helpful staff - especially with carrying our cases upstairs. A wonderful place, with beautifully equipped and furnished room. Only disadvantage was that all rooms are up steep narrow stairs with no elevator, but help of staff dealt with that. Excellent position and good restaurant.

We had a fantastic room with a balcony in this historic old hotel situated right in the heart of the historic main street of Stanley. It was a Tasmania highlight for us.

Cosy cottage with lovely views
We absolutely loved the cottage with it's views to the Bay and The Nut. We were impressed at the provision of multiple towels and toiletries in the bathroom cupboard 'just in case's; similarly, plenty of tea, coffee and sugar in the kitchen caddies. It was a cold day outside, but thoughtfully, the heater was on. Fire was also set just to be lit for the wood fire ambience. A home away from home; cosy and warm. Hope to return.

Loved staying in the old hotel, lovely atmosphere, like an old English Pub in the middle of the seaside village and we had all we wanted in our little room. Our window gave us a view of the water and an amazing sunset. Our evening meal in the pub was the best!

Such a lovely little cottage in the perfect location that was clean on the surface, tidy & had all the amenities, however there was a very musty smell that was quite prevalent. Not recommended for those with asthma !

Cons: My room was at the second/third floor so i have to carry my heavy suitcase and walk thru the kind of narrow staircase to get to my room at the end of the floor. Not recommended for family with kids and elderly. Pro: my seaview room is spacious and clean. I enjoy the view while having my bfast and coffee in the room. Love the bar downstairs, lots of food and beverages to choose from. Ordered freshly shuck oyster, seafood chowder, abalone and draft beer My favourite is the abalone, oyster is fresh, chowder is a bit too salty for me.

The property was a beautiful partly restored period home. We could walk to everywhere we wanted and enjoyed the beautiful gardens. Check-in was efficient and easy. Check-oit was similarly easy, although the staff member was extremely rude.

Loved the overall feel of the Hotel. The stair climb & rabbit warren feel trying to get to my room (no. 9 - top floor) was a bit confusing. I was glad that I had prepared a small bag with enough clothes & toiletries for my 2 night stay, so I didn't have to lug my suitcase up the staircase. There was a bit of noise from the bar downstairs on the Thursday night, but it was the night before the Easter long weekend so was to be expected. Great central place to stay in Stanley.

It was perfect, beautiful old style pub. Only problem was no lift for the elderly & lots of narrow stairways. However, that aside, the service was wonderful, the food was great, it was very clean & we had a fantastic view! It was also in the middle of the shopping area & had a lot of little eateries to choose from!

Excellent accom. Room was neat, tidy good facilities. Excellent shower. Minor hick up with a staff member on entry but nothing of importance. Steep stairs are an issue for elderly stayers. Excellent meals available. Lovely little gift shop on site. All in all 4 out of 5 for us.
