Jenny stay
The room was clean however had a very must smell and the toilet was dirty and broken. There was minimal interaction with the staff only at check in. The cost was high for a run down motel.

My apologies for the problem you had at Jenny's. As far as interaction with my guests, I am available at all times if the guest needs me for anything at all. I try not to bother my guests. If you had a problem with the room, you just needed to let me know and I would do what I could to take care of the problem.

Not the worst place I've stayed
Well the beds and decor were a bit out dated. I couldn't move on the bed without the springs squeaking. It was listed as a B & B but that was not the case and they tried to say it was because of covid but we learned from a local that they stop that long before covid. But it served the purpose for the weekend.

I am sorry you had an uncomfortable bed. If you had said something to me, I would have moved you to another room. We normally serve breakfast on weekends during the season (May through October). The locals do not know how we do business here. I would be glad to make up for these issues in the future.

Expedia lists free breakfast with stay, the reviews even talk about it. Breakfast, however, is not served during winter months. This inconsistency should be corrected, it was part of my decision to book here.

The owner was pleasant and very accommodating. Great location for our trip. Plan to visit again. The breakfast was wonderful!! Had a great time there.

We were greeted by the friendly owner. Our room was spotless and inviting. The bathroom was small, but was spotless and certainly served the purpose. The weather was beautiful so we took advantage of the porch; sitting out enjoying the sunshine.

Tired, dusty wall hangings, somewhat rickety outside stair case to ALL rooms, none on the ground floor, no place to put a suitcase but the floor, not even a folding stand, so awkward to use, no bedside table only a standing lamp so reading in bed was uncomfortable, no chair anywhere in the room, only a bed whose springs podged us all night. Suggest travelers find a different place .. charge way too high for the quality. Breakfast was ok but certainly not inspired for a place that calls itself a manor lodge.

I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Our staircase is not rickety. It is new as of last year. The room you reserved is one of our economy rooms. Our larger rooms have the amenities which you are complaining about. If you had spoken to me about these items, I would have tried to make alternative arrangements. Again, my apologies. We are an older hotel and try to keep up with the maintenance, but that can only be done when there are no guests here and that doesn't happen too often during the season.

Tired. This place definately needs paint, better room lighting, better mattress, really, a total rehab. Dramatically overpriced for what you get. Staff was pleasant and cordial.

I am aware that our building needs some painting, which is difficult to do when we have guests staying here. Since no one else has complained about the bed or the lighting, I am glad you have brought this to my attention and it will now be taken care of.

It is a motor inn, not bed and breakfast
The outside of the building is very run down. There is nothing neat or tidy on the grounds. The room is quaint and clean. Not my type of place.

All I needed was a clean bed and shower, and this place fit the bill. Donna was gracious, and even accommodated my last minute need for an extra nights’ stay. I would definitely stay there again next year!

I wish I could say more positive things...
We were given an "economy room" basically a place to stay the night. The bathroom was very narrow & consisted of a toilet & a shower & the overhead light/fan was not very bright & noisy. The "bedroom" was small & the bathroom sink was in the bedroom. The King bed was 2 twins put together & the air conditioner was old & noisy. When booking the room the slide show presentation showed breakfast but that is only given on weekends. The room had just blinds & no room darkening curtains so the sun woke us up early in the morning. There was no "night light" in the bathroom so finding it in the middle of the night was very difficult...we were told the next morning that there were night lights but people would take them. There was no chair in the room or luggage rack to put suitcases on to unpack things. No hangers on the rack next to the sink. The TV only had 6 working stations but we used the remote to rescan the stations because we knew that many stations have been given new positions & after we scanned we came up with about 24 stations more.I read the reviews, which for the most part were good, but I was quite disappointed!

I am sorry you are unhappy with your stay. However, you did rent one of our basic bedrooms. The majority of our rooms are larger and have kitchenettes. Our website also makes it clear that we only serve breakfast on weekends. Again, sorry you were disappointed.

Overall a good stay. Air conditioner too loud for sleeping. But earplugs helped get a restful night's sleep.

When we pulled down the sheets, there was hair all over the place and a dirty spot. The room was beautiful, but the bed was dirty. Our initial room was a king size and they moved us to a queen size.

I can't express how sorry I am for this. I very recently had a knee surgery and I am unable to walk the steps. Which means that I was unable to do quality control on my rooms. I take full responsibility for this problem. This room was not the room you reserved initially. The room you reserved does not have a kitchenette and is smaller. Either room was an upgrade from the original reservation. I would be very happy to comp a room for you in the future. Or if you have any other suggestions, please let me know. Again, my sincere apologies for this problem.

Not a chain, but a total winner
Needs a paint job, but overall, it is a delightful, family-run, low key place. Rooms are large, impeccably clean, and have full kitchens! Has all the amenities, from hair dryers to cutlery and a coffee maker, but no extras or stocked mini-bar. But so what? You can stick your fridge by yourself! Breakfast is simple, and made-to-order. It is a clean, quiet and no-frills place, and a great base camp for the Hudson Valley and all it has to offer.

This little 1950s era inn is a real gem. Run by a lovely woman named Donna who is Jenny's daughter. Antique car buffs will delight at the beautiful old automobiles decorating the premises. The owners husband collects miniature cars as well and they are on display in the lovely breakfast room. A full breakfast is cooked and served to guests by the owner at no extra charge, much like a European bed and breakfast. Rooms are large and cozy with sinks, microwave and coffee maker. It is located in a beautiful country setting and is very quiet. They don't permit children, which to me is a wonderful feature. Can't say enough good about Jenny's. This was my second time staying here in 8 years and both times were equally excellent.

Only able to check in between 4 and 7 but they were nice and accommodated my request about checking in late. I did not arrive until 9 pm. This is a bed and breakfast and not a hotel.

Jenny's is very clean. The room was roomy and comfortable. The service was great. Jenny was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was filling and delicious. It was very close to the omega institute where we were taking a workshop. The only drawback was the firm mattress, but compared to other details this was minor. I will definitely book again the next time I am in the area.

Owners are friendly, conscientious, and accommodating. They bent over backward to give us the type of room we needed when our room reservation came in wrong online. Bed comfort isn't the emphasis (at least in our room). Walls may be thin - we heard snoring loudly one night.
