Disappointing stay at the Majestic
A mediocre stay On the plus side, our superior room was large, with good air conditioning, the showers had good pressure, and housekeeping was good. On the minus side: things were old and rundown - the upholstery was ragged and faded, the beds a bit saggy, the curtains couldn’t be pulled properly along their rollers and it was not possible to darken the room fully. Breakfast was poor value, with limited range of typical international breakfast cuisine, and greasy and overcooked. The waitress insisted we pay before we had even started eating, which made me think they must have guests who leave without paying, but also made me feel rather unwelcome. At check out, we asked for a cab. The price quoted at 600 roubles for a 2 km, less than 10 min ride was a little steep. The vehicle took 25 min to arrive. When it came, the “cab” was a beat-up van with stained upholstery, broken doors on the driver- side and at the back, and had a strong smell of petrol suggesting a leak somewhere. It was clearly not for an established cab company, but someone who was doing a gig. The van would not have been acceptable on Uber, much less as a hotel booking. Overall a mediocre experience. This is a 2-3 star tourist class hotel rather than the premium accommodation it sells itself as. Disappointing.

Any comment, positive or negative, is valuable to us and helps us improve our service. . Let us thank you for mentioning our rooms and housekeeping work. Our hotel opened 4 years ago and, accordingly, something goes wrong over time, but our team always tries to fix all the problems in a timely manner. In case of any technical problems, you had to contact the administrators, and they would quickly find a solution to this situation by relocating you to another room. We dare to assure you that we are very careful about the sleep of our guests, which is why mattresses, pillows and bedding were chosen with great care. However, we understand that, due to individual preferences, not all guests are unanimous in their assessment of bedding. Unfortunately, in St. Petersburg there are often traffic jams in the city due to weather conditions and just a large accumulation of vehicles, which significantly increases the time for taxi service, but we try to take into account all these factors and therefore warn our guests in advance. We sincerely hope that this moment did not overshadow your stay with us. It is also a pity for us to hear the restaurant staff seemed not so friendly to you. We can assure you that our team is always happy to welcome and help guests of the hotel. Opinion of our guests is highly important for team of “Majestic Boutique Hotel 4* Deluxe”, your comment will be readdressed to the manager of the restaurant. It was very well located The room was lovely. The restaurant very elegant. All the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful The only issue was with one of the young ladies at the restaurant was extremely rude and unfriendly

The location was perfect - very near all the places we wanted to walk to. The staff were all very helpful especially the concierge service. We used this service a lot. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast excellent with lots of variety of food.

Great location, right where you want to be - in the middle of action downtown St. Petersburg. Everything is close by - restaurants, shopping, historical sights. The hotel itself is luscious - from bedding to furnishings, to breakfast buffet selection. Loved it and will definitely come back when back in this stunning city.
