Staff is first rate. Friendly and helpful. The facility is 'Old School' in a charmimg way. Reminds me of what you might find along Route 66. It is located right across from the bay so, perfect location. Carpet does need to be replaced. They are aware and have ordered.

the hotel was very spacious and had a great view would stay there again it was centrally located and looks like they were doing some renovations outside will be great when finished. the only thing I would have liked was an air conditioner. there was a wall heater. I know its Tasmania and its not suppose to get hot but the room was quite hot overnight otherwise a great place to stay

Generally looks rundown and in need of refresh. Pastel decor from the 80’s needs updating. Friendly staff but food was ordinary

Property needs updating. No air con. The staff that checked me in gave more information to the person ahead of me because they “looked like a fit person” and I was merely told where my room was and that I should book for dinner.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. Food was prompt and very tasty with good sized portions. Rooms well sized and set out. New management have started and have plans to clean up more and liven the atmosphere. This will be a remacable place once the makeover is complete

All of the staff was very friendly and helpfull. Hotel is conveniently located withing walking distance to the centre and has plenty of parking. The hotel rooms were very spacious, clean and beds are quite comfortable.

The room and its facilities were excellent. Booking in was easy. The gardens were overrun and an attempt had been made to do some maintenance on the yard. The meal was very disappointing and was poorly prepared. We ordered 2 drinks and had to return glasses twice as 1 was broken and the next still had lipstick on it. The pork belly was so overcooked it looked like to was boiled then fried. The veg were good but minimal. My partners steak was covered in pepper (which he dislikes) the gravy was brown water and the salad was bruised and covered in oil. I was so disappointed as it was Xmas day. The apology was that the staff didn’t show for their shift but that’s not our problem. I would never recommend a meal there.

Many thanks for taking the time to write your review Joanne and I clearly remember talking to you about the issues you had with the food and sincerely apologizing for the issues you had. Whilst staff letting us down and not showing up on such a busy day is not your problem, I had hoped you would understand. We only took over the business two days before Christmas and were in the process of Lanscaping, painting etc so I do apologize.

Disappointing stay, very noisy, no mini bar at all, a fridge runs with a small bottle of UHT milk. No spare pillows. Buffet breakfast was the worst I’ve ever seen or had. Very disappointed. I’ve stayed there about 15years ago when it was a different name, and it is still the same.

Room was nice upstairs with a view over the wetland and water. Room was clean and bed comfy. Downstairs the entire corridor creaked loudly as you walked along it such that i would not have been able to sleep if my room was down there. Very close walk to the street and club for some pool and pokies which was a very handy location. Carpark and lighting outside and in the carpark on our return after dark was non existent. Could not see all the way to the door and did not feel safe. Restaurant onsite was not open the night we stayed, although the bar was.
