The room originally provided to me was awful. It smelt, the walls were chipped, there was mould around the bath, and hair from a previous tenant. In short, you would have been embarrassed to have a friend staying, let alone charging for the “privilege. When I complained, I was shown a room only marginally better. To be honest, if I had not pre-paid I would have left. “Luckily” for me, the toilet also leaked, and when the maintenance people eventually arrived, they said It couldn’t be fixed. In the end I was given a different room literally next door to the one I had. This was fine, and if I’d been given this room to start with, I’d be saying very different things about this hotel. In short be careful what they give you, and complain if needed. The hotel needs a renovation, but some rooms are awful, and some are actually fine.
