It is best to book this hotel for its advantageous location. However, considering it is rated 4 stars I was let down by the cleanliness of the linen and the overall age of the hotel. All the staff were patient and provided great service.

Never again!
Started off with an awful check in, receptionist just pointed and said “room that way” very rudely. Photos must be 15 years old. At breakfast I asked for a white coffee and was told by the waitress “ you want milk you pay me money!! “ Shocking place.

Before you read my appraisal remember you are travelling to a 3rd world country. Firstly this hotel has fantastic staff. They are not top of the range rooms if you want 5 star, go elsewhere and pay more. Each room is kept clean and well stocked but the poor staff are only working with what they have been provided. Buffet breakfast is rice and noodles but this is Asia and that is what Asian people eat. Pastries, cereals and fruit is plentiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return. For the owners:- your bed linen and towels need upgrading.

A solid "3 star" accommodation. The interior of the room did not look like the rooms on the hotel website. The room was a bit distressed but it appears the management is remodeling the exterior of the buildings.Bath towls are provided but bring your own face and hand towels and top sheet for the bed (I did not care to sleep under the comforter). I think this may be an effort to save on laundry overhead? The staff was polite and helpful. Also, for the first three days of the stay, there was dirty plates (room service?)and bowls outside our room. On the fourth day the staff removed these items. Food scraps attract vermin...vermin attract snakes. Service was quick and efficient to repair the toilet that did not work.

DIRTY I moved out after one night they’re supposed to refund and they have not done so yet meaning they are shady! Pillows were stained with yellow they tried to give me a smaller room the three rooms they showed me were all very dirty disgusting I could not stay after one day the pillows were stained yellow like urine. There’s no way this can be four star it’s should be a two star hotel at best. They said the pillows were part of a renovation project I can’t make this stuff up I have them on video and where is my refund paragon??

Poor condition hotel. Definitely not a 4 staff property. Staff were rude upon arrival (late night with kids) not accepting that we had a booking for 4 people and providing us with a room with 3 beds only. Changed rooms the following day and charged additional money. Others had the same problem with rooms provided upon checking in.

I found the photos that they advertise very deceiving. Although all hotels put there best foot forward paragon took it too far. Maybe having more westernised options would be nice, just a thought. Maybe play some more upbeat music in restaurant. Get more options when it comes to alcohol. Haha.

I booked and paid Expedia by credit card $324 AUD for a deluxe room for 5 nights. When I arrived at the Paragon Hotel an hour later to check-in I was informed the last deluxe room had already been booked therefore unavailable, therefore I never checked in. I then booked somewhere else and left. That was August 19, 2019. Countless contacts with Expedia have been unsuccessful in requesting a rightful refund even though I am continually told the issue is being “escalated” to the appropriate team. I will never use Expedia again.

We booked this hotel as Expedia had it as a smoke free property in its write up, it wasn’t ! people were walking through the dining area smoking, smoking on balcony’s , around the pool and the front part of the restaurant . The hotel report said it had a bar and a poolside bar it didn’t ! the bar was not physical just a order drinks service in dining area if you were lucky enough they had your drink of choice ! The pool bar was a desk at the pool where you could order drinks too to me this is a misrepresentation of the facilities and smoking code for the hotel ! Also there was a free shuttle service that they didn’t like you to use as they don’t inform you of it’s availability on arrival and it only leaves at 8am to 10 am and 2pm to 4pm to local Seminyak district, and since breakfast was between 6 to 10am you couldn’t eat breaks unless up very early and use the morning shuttle. Add to that we ended up with food poisoning after eating either breakfast or lunch at the hotel we did not eat any where else that day and ended up violently sick for three days! After that we did not feel safe eating at the hotel and moved out 5 nights before our booking ended at this hotel, Expedia need to punish hotels that don’t meet the write ups that are on the Expedia site, we got no apology from the hotel management, the receptionist offered a free ride to our new hotel we declined

Simply great.
This hotel was the last stop after 2 weeks in Indonesia, we tried several hotels and we can confirm that it was one of the best we stayed at. It's a real standard 4* hotel and everything was in perfect condition. Simply great value for a great price! The only tiny negative thing that we encounter was issues with the internet connection (probably our room was far away from the hotspot), it didn't bother us much since we were on vacations.

Not the Holiday I Had Envisioned
As I was travelling alone I wanted a place I felt safe in. I chose the Paragon as I felt a structured compact hotel style accommodation felt safer for a woman on her own than a rambling resort to walk around in at night......My choice was SO wrong. I got in from my flight well after midnight and by the time I had checked in and got into bed it was near 2am. To my shock I was woken at about 6.30 in the morning with a man breaking into my room through the balcony door that he had dismantled completely! After that I did not feel comfortable there even though the staff were very caring an apologetic.....it happened...... so I cut my loses and paid for a second accommodation that friends recommended and moved there the next day. Of the time I did spend at The Paragon the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast menu is limited though for non asian travellers The location was not great as the road outside was extremely busy ALL of the time and there were no clear footpath areas to allow a safe walking path. Most hotels etc usually have a booklet in the rooms outlining services offered and information about the place you are staying in but this place does not. If anyone has trouble with mobility the main path area looks amazing but is so difficult to walk on as the paver design is raised unevenly and is very hard to walk on at all.

Average choice compared to competition
We had an alright stay at the hotel. Rooms were as pictures and breakfast was buffet. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in and then looked like it had been quickly cleaned with wet floors and even dirty towels left in the bathroom when we arrived. Another night we returned and the room was cleaned and there were no towels to shower with. The staff were friendly but not very knowledgeable. We did stay over the busy New Years time so I understand staff may have been busy
