To start with,we found the hotel very difficult to find, there are no clear signs pointing to its location; since it is in the middle of the countryside and away from any specific waypoint that makes getting there rather difficult.
It is a nice hotel structured on the basis of a 19th century landowners' house, aiming to offer some 21st century facilities, and that is achieved in some areas. The food and the accommodation are very good.
However, other areas were disappointing. On arrival we were offered the use of the hot tub, which according to the staff was going to be ready "in three hours" but after four hours the water wasn't even lukewarm. The staff assured us that the fire to heat the water had been going for three hours before we arrived, hence if they cannot get the water to be even warm in seven hours, I suggest they re-consider the offer. of a hot tub.
