Overall experience was not bad but could be better. We had a party of 11 people, three generations, that stayed at this house for 3 nights. The location of this property is wonderful, close to almost all the San Diego attractions (about 15 min drive to everywhere). The house has great view of San Diego skyline and our family spent a lot of time on the balcony and front yard to enjoy the view and chill.
One day before our arrival, the owner, Scott, notified us that one of the main bedrooms at the ground level was flooded due to torrential rain but it shouldn’t have too much impact on our stay because he had had professional cleaning company come and treated the carpet. Unfortunately, upon our arrival, we noticed that the carpet of the flooded room was soaking wet and the smell was bad. Two of our family members had to spend the nights in sleeping bags (thanks god we brought them just in case) in other places of the house. After the stay, Scott did refund a fraction of our rent for the conviences caused. The house is on a pretty steep slope. For people who are not used to driving and parking in hilly areas, this might be a little challenging. The house has three bedrooms (one of the bedrooms has two full size beds) and three long sofas. So I would say the house is good for 8-10 people (especially with little kids) to stay comfortably, if you don’t mind sleeping on sofa. In our case, it was kind of crowded (especially with that flooded room unlivable). But all of our family members are very hardy and we still managed to have a good time.
