Rosebud Beachhouse Across from Beach

Just cross the road from the Rosebud beachhouse and you'll be at the beach. This house is in a great location with local shops and cafes just a few steps down the road. Everything is all walking distance, but if you are driving down from Melbourne, there is also space to park your car on the property as the house is on Point Nepean Highway.

Peninsula Hot Springs is a 9 minute drive away, and golf courses are just minutes down the road. Local wineries in Red Hill are all a short drive away, as well as many restaurant strips dotted along the Peninsula.

The property contains 3 large bedrooms, spacious living areas and brand new renovated kitchen and bathroom as of December 2020.

Please note: You will have access to the whole house, but only all 3 bedrooms if you have 5 or 6 guests. One bedroom will be prepared for 2 guests (2 single beds or 1 queen bed), and 2 bedrooms for up to 4 guests. If you have 2 guests and would like 2 bedrooms, you will need to book for 3 guests. Should you require all 3 bedrooms for 3-4 guests, please ensure you select 5 guests when you book.

We arrived at our accommodation and code emailed to us was incorrect We rang statyz who tried to contact the owner but they would not answer so they provided the contact number to me and I sent a text to say we were trying to contact them. We then tried to ring and they answered the call and we told them we couldn’t get in and we had been trying for over an hour. She told us that she had to contact her daughter who would ring us. We got a phone call from her daughter who was apologetic for the inconvenience and we had to try a few different combinations that didn’t work and she said she would have to ring me back. When she did ring back we were given another combination that worked. We entered the house while still on the phone and we had two rooms and the third room was locked we requested a code for this room as we booked for four people and we were four women not couples. They gave us the combination so we could access this room. Should not presume four people want to sleep together…. The cleanliness of the home was very poor. The mirror in the lounge room was full of dust which I cleaned to be able to see. The window sill in the lounge room when we opened the blind to let natural light in had muffin crumbs on the sill. The cobwebs throughout the house needs to be cleaned. Was not very happy with trying to contact the owner to be able to access the house they should be available for an emergency like ours not being able to get in as they supplied the wrong code.

Pretty average, not a pleasant smell inside, has a new kitchen and bathroom, but looks like never been painted, linen and towels very old and pillows. Never been cleaned on outside dust everywhere. Kitchen utensils very old also.

You get what you pay for
Being on the main road, it is pretty noisy at night time. There was little to no light in the car port when we arrived in the dark. The nature strip and area beyond the car port were overgrown with grass. Electric blankets and heating were good. Most of the place was clean and tidy, except for inside kitchen cupboards, and a few cobwebs in ceiling corners. Also there were old slippers at the front door and inside. No WiFi/internet details were available, nor given to us upon request. Proximity to the beach and Rosebud/Rye is great. It felt like renting a room in a boarding house with the other bedrooms being locked off, and nothing else extra supplied (no tea/coffee, sugar etc). You get what you pay for.

Beds were a bit hard to sleep on , in the lounge room lighting was too low and outside tables and chairs were dirty . Nice brand new kitchen and also the bathroom. Inside the house is very clean but outside and around the house is dirty.
