Great position and facilities. Generous sized room with a good view. Breakfast buffet was great. We had difficulty in adjusting the temperature of the air conditioning our room.

The breakfast buffet was fantastic as well as the valet parking. Enjoyed our stay here very much and will most likely be back here when visiting again. In saying that, I booked our room through Expedia for a “cheaper price” (discount) and didn’t get this discount when checking in. Still ended up paying full price which sucked so if booking through third party websites, make sure to ring and confirm the booking, at the price you got it for on Expedia or whatever third party you use for discount :)

We have a very spacious room. The lake view from our balcony is spectacular! We love our room at the Lake Residence. However, the bus and water taxi only come hourly which is not ideal for us. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Resort and Spa in Queenstown.

Beautiful, serene location with a delightful staff. We had everything we needed and relaxing in the steam room, sauna and/or hot tub each night after hiking and working our bodies was an amazing bonus!

The stay at the hotel was excellent. What we didn’t like was that there was no shuttle from the hotel to Queenstown. Yes the water taxi was fun but both it and the car taxis were relatively expensive and at peak times not always available.

This was our favorite hotel while in New Zealand for two weeks and we stayed at many! Super comfortable, great food at the restaurant, love the location and had great experience for the price. Would stay here again!

It’s pure luxury. Fabulous self-contained apartment which was generous enough for the 4 of us to be comfortable. Great views over the lake, and convenient to the onsite restaurants. Lovely facilities and everything feels elegant - just as you would expect for the brand. Located only minutes to the airport and checkout at 11am meant that we also had time to indulge in a spa treatment before we left!

Bad: Shower grout was a brown colour with a buildup of some substance needed a scrub and bleach. It feels old and dark. You don’t get free wifi unless you are a Hilton Honors member. Far from anything (ie not walking distance). Lack of options for room service food (used to have great quality options). Good: Beautiful view, room service efficiency was awesome. Wine was delicious. The people who work there were amazing and friendly. I would spend the same amount of money for my room somewhere nicer next time and within walking distance to the town. Quality has declined since I was here a few years ago.

Picturesque by the lake
Lovely hotel with fantastic amenities. Picturesque location by the lake, however quite a distance from the city (water taxi available $$). Staff were wonderful and friendly and the pool/spa area is top quality.

Until recently I was a Diamond Rewards member, so I’ve stayed in a lot of Hiltons in a lot of cities in a lot of countries. This should be a jewel in the crown for the location alone, it’s been a bucket list item for a while. This is a five star international flagship property in one of the premier destinations on the planet and they literally have nothing available to eat after 10pm, even in room dining, not even a toasted sandwich. I ordered just before 10pm, my order was placed and was processed but 90 minutes later still didn’t arrive. I was informed by a poor receptionist that my order was cancelled and I’m still in shock at what I was told next…. “All you can do is order McDonalds via Uber Eats”… staggering!!!

All of the staff members were extremely lovely and at the end of the day the outdoor area of the grill and Pinot pit were lovely to sit at to enjoy a drink. The beds were very comfortable and rooms nice and spacious. The buffet breakfast was enjoyable and a nice easy option during the stay however dinner options were a bit limited with only the grill and pub next door available. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The shuttle service to the city is no longer, the parking and expectation to park on the main road is unsafe. Had to request coffee and face clothes and conditioner and gel every day. Very different to pre covid. Will take my business to another hotel. It's a Shame I have been a loyal customer to the Hilton everytime I come to Queenstown.

The property is large, busy and not well designed. The main concern was the cleanliness of the bedroom surfaces, doors, tables etc and our balcony and outdoor furniture was dirty. The breakfast buffet and ambiance was absolutely dreadful. The hot breakfast options were cold, the toaster did not toast the bread, the staff cleared and relaid the tables as if they were in a roadside diner. Not a Hilton Hotel charging $700/ night. We did mention this to the lovely lady on the front reception on checking out and she were most professional and grateful for our feedback. She is a credit to the property. We suggested that management take their breakfast with the guests to see the numerous issues. Large busy 5-star hotels in BKK, HKG and SIN still manage to serve a 5 star breakfast. Hilton Queenstown has a lot to improve on.

Liked the location which was away from the city and next to the lake. The room, being west-facing, would get quite warm during the night. A/C didn't seem to be effective in cooling.

Comfortable stay
Very comfortable, beautiful room with view of the lake. Eco-friendly toiletries (no miniatures). Friendly staff, however there was quite a long queue for breakfast. Good food but items ran out quickly too. Also quite shocked we had to pay for parking at Double Tree.

This property is not near Queenstown but does have a ferry service to the town. The main issue I have with this place its location. There is nothing near by except for a Doubletree Hilton and some apartments. The 2 restaurants on property are expensive, pretty average and do no have room service. If you looking for a quiet place without the hustle of a town, this could be the place for you. Otherwise, I would not recommend this hotel.

Loved the room we stayed in, right infront of tha lake. Loved the staff, they were very polite and catered to our needs and more. Loved the water taxi which was right in front of the hilton giving a fun experience to get into queenstown. Would highly recommend staying here. 5 ⭐️
