This is a historic property so the facilities have character but I excellently maintained. The art and design of the interior is beautiful and modern. We enjoyed our stay at Circa and will return next year!

The internet was not working for 16 hours due to a problem with NBNWe reported the issue straight away and it was up and running as soon as the damaged cable in the street was repaired Very unfair review

When we arrived we only found key Numbers but no names. I did not receive a message from Expedia. After a phone call I did know the number. Questions. Why do you not send the e-mail anders why use the email if there is no wifi? I am an European without mobile data!!!!!

Excellent communication and directions. Unfortunately the front door at midnight wouldn’t open and kept self locking. The lovely man that came to our rescue was able to open the door from the inside. He said it was doing this at tge moment. Please have this seen too. It wasn’t a nice feeling standing outside when you’re tired and instructions weren’t working. Otherwise a lovely comfy bed and nice and quiet. We’ll be back. Thankyou

Great spot. Nice old fashioned feel. The view from the room was lovely. But the experience felt impersonal. I didn't feel welcome. And the code door opener to get back in the building from a walk wouldn't work so I was stuck outside but then some people were leaving and I managed to get in.

Old property with small rooms- no room for wardrobe or drawers. Comfortable bed with fridge, tv, fan and heater. Did not like the shared bathroom, but was made aware of this.

It's lucky I brought my own pillow because the pillows here stunk of head grease. This place has more of a youth hostel vibe than a hotel. Someone's dirty flannel had been left hanging on the door. The toilets and showers are down the corridor and I did not. Look forward to having a shower. There is dust and spider webs on the air vents and the curtains aren't put up straight. There's a lot of paint work that needs fixing up. The rooms are not soundproofed and I was working up by very rude people arriving late at night - The noise they made seemed to go on endlessly. At least the bed was very comfortable and I appreciate that these people are looking after such a lovely old building. It's just that it seems that cleaners must be hard to come by in Queenscliff.

The location of the property was the only positive as our band was playing at The Blues Train and it was easy to get there and back. The room we were given was not clean as there were dead moths and there was a lot of dust. The building might be old but there is no excuse for the poor condition of both the door and window, as both nights were cold and very windy, which means there was a severe cold draught on the second night. There is a mouse hole on the door’s bottom corner which means that anything can enter and in addition there were no extra blankets. I was surprised at the lack of foresight by the owners as I should not have to ask for an extra blanket, and in Queenscliff cold nights any time of year are not unusual. As a result, we froze at night and were sick for the rest of our week For the time we were there, the front desk wasn’t manned so to approach someone for a blanket at night or anything else was difficult. It is very unfortunate as we were so looking forward to staying at Circa 1902 as it is advertised as refurbished and stylish but our experience was the opposite. Also as performers for the Blues Train, which I made clear to the person on the desk on arrival, this hotel was recommended to us by the organiser of the TBTrain. So disappointed.

We love welcoming guests to our guest house and appreciate your feedback, albeit we didn’t check you in under the surname exaggerate.It’s so wonderful to read our reviews that come through weekly as 5/5 or 10/10 as we are now sitting at the number one choice for accommodation in Queenscliff An after hours phone number is provided on the check in sheet so that you can contact us anytime 24/7 and we are always so happy to assist in anywayWe did ask the moths to stay outside and apologise that they didn’t listen Our guests love the newly refurnished rooms, fridges , kettles, everything provided Televisions in every roomThankfully our house keeper places two doonas on every bed so that you can strip down the bed on a warm lnight as it was the night you stayed with us or snuggle up on those cold nights We’d love you to explore our beautiful town and stay at one of the other accommodation venues if you decide to visit Queenscliff again.

Old world ambience. Location so central. Great balcony. However if you are a light sleeper choose a room away from the hot water service heat pumps (I presume) that whirr all night.
