"Good basic hotel"
We stayed at the Hotel Coppedè for 4 nights. It is well located, with a good deal of bus connections and shops, restaurants and cafés nearby. The hotel itself was basic, though very clean. The room was ensuite, with a television. The shower went very hot and cold, let's just say I only risked washing my shoulder length hair once as a result. There was something odd with the power, as we experienced a number of times everything going out. This may have been limited to our room only, or some kind of glitch. I would recommend the room for the price we paid, as we were only using it as a base whilst we explored beautiful Rome.

"Authentic hotel, ideally located to explore from."
We have just arrived back from a fantastic break, booked as a birthday surprise and carefully budgeted. We explored Rome, using the regular bus service from outside The Turner and spent 4 of our 5 days meandering through the city. We dined at a different restaurant everyday, at around 4pm, eating authentic local food with a couple of Italian beers or a glass or two of beautiful local red wines. We returned by bus to The Turner to retire early and rest for the next day, fuelled by a generous Continental breakfast.

"lovely little find"
short bus ride to the termini or to Barbarini tram station/plaza lovely hidden little hotel. reception staff I found helpful, especially Fred who couldn't do enough for us one evening due to unforeseen circumstances. breakfast - choices there to keep us going, varied hot beverages, cold drinks and a variety of pastries, meats etc. I was concerned after reading some reviews but found all the staff lovely - no complaints at all the map the hotel provide is not much use though...esp. if you wear glasses, cant make out a thing so I would suggest using a map on how to get around rome from elsewhere,,but romes not an easy place to get around with any map!! lovely ice cream place practically opp hotel called tropical ice...best ice cream ever

"I would stay there again.... nice, clean, easy"
I was at the hotel for 8 nights. Really enjoyed my stay. It is clean, nice and modern. The breakfast was excellent... good selection. Much better than a lot other hotels I have stayed at for the same price and rating. I would certainly recommend it to a friend and stay there again. I liked the location as it was easy to get everywhere but I was not necessarily in the middle of all the noise. There are some restaurants around that are great. As I travel, I tend not to repeat restaurants as to try different things... we went twice to "Il Gatto e l'Uva" which is around the corner. All in all a very pleasant experience.

"Great value in Rome"
This hotel is not in the center of Rome but in a quiet and more residential area. I found this feature to be a great counterpoint to the incessant noise and hustle and bustle of central Rome. Still, close to the metro and bus stops. Staff was warm and welcoming and were happy to be of assistance. Our room was small but comfortable. There are several great areas on the ground floor to hang out and relax. Decorate like a home, rather than a hotel. A large buffet breakfast is included and served every morning from 7:30 am - 10:0 am. They even provided me with gluten free bread for my morning toast, a benefit I didn't,expect. There is a nice garden in the rear where guests can relax. In the evenings, the bar serves cold, cuts and cheese, a hot casserole of some kind of pasta (different very day), nuts, potato chips, etc. for no additional charge for guests. You can get wine and cocktails from the bar at an additional fee. Nice bathrooms with large soaking tubs. We walked a few blocks to a terrific restaurant for a great dinner. We wanted to leave our luggage with the hotel for a while on our last day, but the staff discouraged this and told. Us it would be easier and more convenient to store our luggage at the train station so we could spend more time in downtown prior to our afternoon train departure. We,should hasve insisted they store our luggage there instead. Don't try to have the train station hold your luggage unless you're prepared to wait in line several hours to do so
