If you like barking dogs all night long, you will love this place
I have hesitate to review this property but decided I needed to share our experience. We have rented several homes through VRBO and this was our 2nd on this island. Location was good for getting around the island. Central to everything. What disturbed us was the dilapidated state of the property. The pictures show a nice, clean patio with padding and chairs. We found a home quite run down. Steps and railing going up to the home are half falling off and unstable. Decks were dirty and no padding for couch and pool deck/grilling chairs. Hot tub unusable as it was full of mud and debris. While there is a local dog "Sam" who lives outside at the property (quite nice and kept to himself) the entire neighborhood if full of barking dogs 24/7. Kept us up every night we were there and my husband is hard of hearing and wears a sleeping mask. Master bedroom sink is not mounted to drain properly and leaks below. When we reported with no help so we put a pan under it to catch the water and didn't use cabinet. There is no AC in this home (one mounted in living room but doesn't work), which most times is ok as there was a constant breeze, but there is a bank of windows facing South full sun with no curtains (has rods but no curtains) and we came back the first day after a day at the beach and it was 98 degrees in the home. Temp outside was 78. Interior of home was clean except for living room rug which needed a good cleaning. Pool was great and cleaned weekly. It shows by the pictures a lovely home, but owners have neglected it and we would not rent again. Hope owners spend some money and clean and repair this home.
