Good hostel!
Good hostel with adequate facilities. good connection to the airport and city. Lots if good Czech restaurants nearby. highly recommended.

Good place to stay in Prague
Nice place, clean and comfortable. Very safe and nice neighborhood way from the more touristy areas but good trnspo hub.

Popular quiet hostel
Overall really great value for money. Hygiene was very good, facilities such as toilets/showers were good, free wifi worked well and great staff!

nice away from tourist area
Nice enough place. We liked the fact we were not in the central hub of the tourist area. Found a great place for breakfast nearby. The only drawback was the room was over the front entrance. The noise throughout the night kept me awake. This was especially so on my last night as a group we're talking throughout the night until 4am and it was loud. This was unfortunate. The night before was very noisy throughout the night with people returning to their place of stay.

Friendly - close to transport links & castle area
I arrived late but had a warm friendly welcome.Great hostel very close to metro and trams - short journey into the Old Town and the castle area is a 15 minute walk away. Rooms were clean and comfortable - just a bit 'lived in' but it sort of added to the charm. Hostel has a garden and 2 kitchens. It was fairly quiet depending on the other guests - noise tended to echo down the corridors a bit but I didn't need ear plugs! Lots of good eateries and supermarkets nearby.

It was a great location for affordable dining and a short walk to the metro. I would recommend staying here if you want to have a nice dinner and avoid the tourist prices.

Nice large room, the hostel was in a great location with bars and restaurants and supermarkets close by. Very clean room and facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only complaint would be the noise - talking and banging of room/bathroom doors all night made sleeping difficult.

Functional, quiet and clean vintage hostel
Travelled alone as a young lady and felt safe, and was very pleased with the hostel quality as the single room was large, clean and functional with a sink and mirror, table and chairs, wardrobe and sideboard. Metro station was only 10mins walk to all the major attractions (Charles Bridge, Old Town) and there were local cafes nearby with mini markets too, where I bought fruit and water. Did have to share the bathroom and toilets, which I was uneasy about but these were surprisingly clean. However, bed and pillow were horribly uncomfortable and lumpy, and didn't sleep at all the first night. Luckily, the room had an extra bed so used the duvet as a bed sheet and folded over the 'cushion,' and slept ok. The room was well heated too, so I felt very cosy. The hostel info sheet did say you could ask for extra pillows etc but found this too late! Also, my room was next to the showers and I was awoken far too early every time they were in use! There were also communal kitchens, sitting area and reception area with free internet access and 24/7 snacks and drink. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly, and gave me a town map with metro info:) I felt very safe throughout as a young lady travelling alone, and I didn't bump into any other travellers at all on my floor. I would definitely recommend this place if you just need a clean and cheap place to sleep and stash your stuff.

A very pleasant stay. Staff are friendly, surrounding area is quiet during the evening. A little far from the center but the underground is excellent so you can be at all the important sights in 10-15min. I would recommend staying here.

They do not provide daily housekeeping as described. Given one towel for 3 nights. Toilets were smelly. Wifi was extremely slow. Staff were unfriendly. Not recommended.

The hotel is picturesque and has a huge potential. Nevertheless the owners should pay a little more attention to details (e.g. include lamps - we only had the main room light for a three bed bedroom )

Nice, but wouldn't go back.
Dakura is average. It is close to a metro station which makes it remotely accessible to most parts of the city. It is out of the central area, however. The room was basic and there wasn't much of a view. Friendly staff welcomed us but overall it was nothing to write home about.

Nice place- the two shared kitchens are well equipped and never crowded, and there's a lounge on the ground floor if you have a group and want to hang out outside your rooms.

Best hostel
Hostel Dakura is one of the nicest hostels we have stayed in during our year long trip! It was very clean and nicely renovated. The bathrooms were actually clean, and we had a sink in our room which was great when the bathroom is shared. We even had a table and chairs. The front desk staff were very kind and open 24 hours. The only issue was the Internet hardly worked at all on the fifth floor.

The directions the hostel give you before arrival to locate the hostel are very helpful. The reception staff were welcoming. My room was okay with basic linen but was okay for a 1 night stay. I do not know about the dorms. My room was a good size which also had a small sink in.

Inexpensive, functional. location is fabulous...between two metro...five minutes to each...one kilometer to Castle area...three kilometers to Old Town...you can walk it easily...downhill......ten minutes by Metro. good restuarants in the area...very quiet spot

I STAYED THERE 2 NIGHTS THIS IS A BASIC HOSTEL/HOTEL EVERYTHING WAS FINE CLOSE TO METRO CLOSE TO OLD TOWN THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS THE STAFF GAVE ME THE WRONG INFO I ASKED 2 TIMES HOW MUCH WAS THE TAXI TO THE AIRPORT BOTH TIMES THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE UNDER 300 IT WOULD BE 20 PER KM SO I HAD 400 NOT SURE IF THE HOTELS INFO WAS OUT OF DATE OR IF THE TAXI THEY CALLED FOR ME JUST OVER CHARGED THE TAXI CHARGED 440 I ONLY HAD 400 SO I HAD TO GIVE HIM 5 EURO TOTAL I PAD 525 IT IS KNOW THAT THE TAXIS IN PRAGUE OVER CHARGE SO BE AWARE

Great service, great find!
Stayed here for almost a week - it was a great and inexpensive location. I can't say enough how helpful the staff was - they'll look up whatever they need if they don't know it already for you, and they give you local maps and walk through everything you would likely need around you. Great service! Rooms are fine with high ceilings and quite spacious. Definitely a good value considering the cost - a great find! Breakfast is good with the attached cafe next door starting at I think either 7:30 or 8:30, for 118 Koruna. Really like this place.

GREAT Service! Props guys.
It was great - loved the place. You have access to a kitchen and fridge if you want it, it's inexpensive, and the rooms are fine. The best part - the staff is EXTREMELY helpful - they even give you maps of the surrounding area so you can find whatever you want, and they look up anything you need. GREAT service! The breakfast is fine too.

A Pleasant Stay
I spent 3 nights at this hotel. I would have liked to have a private, rather than shared bathroom - but otherwise, I was extremely happy with my stay. Great lighting, windows that could open to let in the cool air (and not much outside noise like the rest of Prague), a desk to set up my laptop and work, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. (It's a short walk from the Hrad Canska Metro station, and there are several restaurants and markets around.)

Great hostel. Very friendly and clean
The hostel was lovely, well decorated and very clean. The staff were friends and the position is great, right next to a Czech bar and only 15 minutes from the castle.

Horrible hotel in the city.
First off I would like to say this was the rudest staff I've experienced by far. I walk in and the there were two personnel at the desk. One lady was helping a gentleman and the other was messing with papers behind the desk. I didn't even get acknowledgement that I was in the building. I waited about 30 minutes before someone even spoke to me. This is unacceptable. The room was small and cramped. Smelled horrible. Needless to say as soon as I checked in. I checked out and went a faboulous hotel near center city.

Kafkaesque - and not in a charming way
This place looks cheap - and it's nasty. There were dodgy people loitering outside the evening we arrived. Inside, the foyer was Eastbloc grim. The hallways look like a juvenile detention centre. The room itself was comfortable and clean, but shabby. Shared bathrooms - required key to access. There was no soap in the bathrooms. Often, there was no toilet paper either, so had to make do with own Kleenex. To top it off, we arrived back at the hotel at 9pm on Saturday night after a day of sightseeing, only to be detained by police officers who were raiding the place. They took the passports of all guests, ran checks on us with police HQ, and searched the hostel. When I asked if there was something wrong, they said it was just a "routine check". Not a routine I enjoyed. It was nearly an hour before I got my passport back. VERY unpleasant experience. And the staff did not seem to thing there was anything untoward about this. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS>

Good choice to stay for limited budget
It is not far from tram station but it is quite far from city centre. Wifi signal is good in my room. The price is good choice if you want to find the single bedroom.

Prague one day trip
Location: Excellent, walk-able distance from old city, palace & Charles bridge and 2 metro stations. Parking: Free street parking on all days of the week. Facilities: WiFi signal is weak in the room common bathroom & toilets for a hotel !! Never heard of it.. anyway we were looking for a economical stay so sleeping for one night is no problem
