Clean, convenient, near the center
The accommodation is not far off the center, about 20min walk. In the area there are a few good choices for breakfast and dinner. The accommodation is very clean and all is in good order. We enjoyed our stay, communication with the management was good. Only on the weekends it seems that quite a few groups are renting apartments in the area and it can get noisy at night

A great place to stay in Prague 10
We really enjoyed our stay! The two-bedroom unit is huge and includes a big kitchen. Breakfasts were good and the location was great for our purposes (visiting family and sightseeing). There are several cafes and restaurants nearby, though many were closed for Christmas holidays. Most of the big sights are about 20 minutes away by tram and subway. Note that reception is only open in the morning -- when you check in, you get your key from a machine.

Nice apartment in good beighborhood
A nice apartment with well equipped kitchen and bathroom and a spacious bedroom and closet space. Breakfast privided was complete with a karge variety of items to choose from. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Well located near tram 22 line which goes to the center and the castle without changing. Some nice restaurants nearby with few tourists around because you are away from the center. Apartment could use some chairs and a more comfortable couch.

I loved the view of the courtyard from our fifth floor window. Very close to convenient public transportation, good food and a little quick shop on the corner. Great place!

This is not a hotel. Do not expect your room to be made up every day or a 24-hour reception. It is not communicated to new guests that your room will be made up every 3 days if you stay for more than 3 days. It is close to public transportation but about 2 miles from Old Town. The breakfast is decent, the rooms are clean, and it is inexpensive. I would not stay here again, but it was ok.

Question about the total paymemt
The total amount for this booking is 428.40€, including continental breakfast. But the hotel charged me more than this amount. According to the attached photo of the receipt, the hotel charged me 11352.60 CZK for the room and 60.00 CZK for the breakfast, which is 11412.6 CZK totally.

Dear Mr. Zeng, Thank you for your review. For your information - the total amount for your stay was 428,4€ however, this amount does not include a city tax of € 0.6 per person per night. In case of payment by the credit card or cash in Czech crowns at the hotel, total amount is charged according to the actual hotel exchange rate. This rate is 1€=26,5 CZK. City tax is 15 CZK per person per night. It means 428,4€ (for your stay) x 26,5 = 11352,6 CZK. City tax is 15CZK x 4 nights x 1 person = 60 CZK. DownTown Suites Kodanská - alternative in Prague
I specifically didn't want to stay in a tourist area, so this apartment, off the beaten track, was fine. The premises is clean, the tall ceiling room is typical of a European room. The kitchen facilities looked new. The small washing machine downstairs is a big plus, though no dryer...remember to bring a cord to dry clothes in your room. The front desk staff spoke English well, and helped with directions and such. The only unusual thing was first getting the room key. A phone call from the front door produced (probably from the owner) directions on how to get our room key. Everything went fine, just not what I expected. (Though I have done similar at other apartments). The Pizza and Steak restaurant owner around the corner was very pleasant, and we had a few meals and pints of Czech beer there. This isn't an American 5-star hotel, but that's not what I was looking for. I'm pleased overall.

It's an apartment for $40/nt in a cool neighborhood. Decent/good breakfast buffet included in price. Street parking available, it might be a search, but we were fortunate, found a spot 2 blocks away. Just a 10-15 min streetcar ride to the old city. Def eat at Neklid in the neighborhood.

Clean & Safe Hotel 20 minutes from the Center
Our stay was great. There were 3 in our party and we stayed in the Penthouse. It was very clean and roomy, and we enjoyed the character of the building. I had forgotten to notify the staff that we were arriving early, and they were very accommodating and let us check in without a problem. Public transportation to and from the hotel was easy and convenient.

Clean, spacious & convenient
We're a family of 4 (two kids aged 10 & 5) who stayed for 2 nights at DT Kodanska. The property is in a refurbished building but has been exceptionally maintained. Our room was quite spacious, with a kitchenette & enough space for a family of 4. The staff at the reception were very courteous & helpful. There is a small convenience store nearby. A tram station (Ruska – tram 22) is also a stone throw away, from there you can get to the nearby metro station (Namesti Miru – Line-A) & onwards to the city. We had a pleasant stay at DT Kondanska & would highly recommend it & would stay again if we visit Prague again in future.

You get what you pay for
Plus: Great price, large room, large shower, separate toilet room Minus: Cheap furnishings - most importantly the bed was not comfortable. The walls are very thin, so you hear your neighbours up and down, and definitely any doors closing. Corridor outside room was poorly lit, key turn was dodgy, receptionist was not there when I arrived and when I wanted to leave. Breakfast is not bad for the price, but eaten in a windowless basement. It is located in a residential neighbourhood that is very nice, but not so central. Transport connections are good. SO: Great price, but I would pay more to stay somewhere a bit more comfortable.

The location of the hotel is not too bad. It is a bit out the way. While it's in district 1 it only just is. When we got there being October it wasn't very warm and the hotel heating was broken for 3 of our 4 days there.

Easy tram ride! BIG room!
It was a great value! A three minute walk to the tram gets you right into the heart of things. I'd guess max. 10 minutes to old town via tram. Plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance of your room. BIG rooms btw. Looks like it was an old apartment building at one time. Thats the way our room was set up at least. Breakfast was the typical European style and kept us full! We'd stay again for sure. This was more like a private vacation rental than a hotel.

Although the apartments were very nice the first few days the weather turned cold and they would not put any heating on even though the apartments had central heating. As a result my mother in-law who is 81 felt cold to her bones and now has a chest infection

Family of 4 had a great short break here. 20 mins from centre on tram departing just around the corner (line 22). Very big clean apartment. Nice and quiet. Helpful and friendly staff. It was honestly absolutely ideal for us.

Check out the neighborhood.
We liked the place. Use the 22 tram to get to sites. Staff was helpful. Place was fairly large and clean. Breakfast was fine. Ate at a restaurant that was good up on Ruska. Good price and spoke enough English. Nice pastry shop around the corner,too. People in Prague are helpful and friendly and speak some English. Enjoyed the neighborhood up the hill with a stroll after dinner.

Great find in a quiet street. Not exactly in the mix of the old town, but a short tram ride away- get off at Ruska stop right by the Vietnamese sandwich shop, not 'Kodanska' stop as per Google maps for a very short walk to the hotel. Clean, tidy, nice staff. Would stay here again

Privacy and comfort just aside of city center.
This is my humble opinion the best choice for those who are looking for an apartment near the city center but not really in it. The tram stop is just 60-70 meters from the entrance of the building. Tram reaches almost to the heart of the city, even at night. Taxi is also an affordable option.

While the Downtown Suites are not right in the city centre they are only a 10-15 minute walk to Wenceslas Sq or a 2-3 minute journey by tram (the stop for which is literally round the corner) and the same tram takes you to all the main touristy things like Charles Bridge etc The apartments are huge! A very large lounge and more than adequate kitchen area (the only thing missing is a microwave) and large bedroom (mattresses are too soft so of my party I chose to sleep on the couch/sofa bed as it is more firmer) For the price for what you get, breakfast included!, you can do no wrong than staying here, or stay in the city and pay far more for far less. I can whole heartedly recommed this for anyone staying in Prague who maybe on a budget and looking for self catering accommodation

I arrived after 10pm on a weekday. Main reception was closed but all the codes to get in/access my keys had been previously emailed to me and worked fine with no issues. I had a room on the top floor next to the penthouse which had a strange setup. It had an outer door and a small foyer which had motion sensor lights that constantly turned off while I was trying to unlock the door. One afternoon I came back to the outer door being locked leaving me with no way to get into my room. I rang the doorbell but nobody came. When I went downstairs, reception told me that I had a key to that door but there was no keyhole that I could find when I went back up to check. Luckily whoever had locked it had reopened the door while I was downstairs. In my room itself: the fridge had it's own room, the bedroom had a walk in closet and the bathroom had a bidet, soaker tub and double sink but no shower (did have a shower head on a hose). The lights in the hall of the room were motion censored for the first two nights but on the third stayed on/wouldn't turn off as I had no light switch that controlled it. I highly suspect that the controls for this were located in the penthouse. Other than the lighting/door thing this was a great stay. Staff were super friendly, great location away from the hustle/bustle but only a few minute tram rise to a metro station to lots of shops and great connections to the centre. Even loved the quirkiness of the room. I would 100% stay here again.

Staff is very friendly & helpful. Breakfast had a good selection of items. Hotel is located fairly far from town center, but transportation got us there in less than 15 minutes. The tram was literally around the corner from this hotel! Upside - nice quiet neighborhood, good for families. We also had a car and were fortunate to find a public parking space after circling the block one time (again right around the corner from the hotel). Best part - FREE parking for 3 days!!! We would definitely stay here again!!

Prague family vacation
The hotel was very clean and roomy for a family of 5 (all adults). The staff was also wonderful and helped us with questions we had. Free wifi was wonderful. The hotel is located in a more residential area of the city and far from the tourist section. This gave it a more authenitic feel for the Czech Replubic and allowed us to see more of the city than just the tourist sections. Is walkable to main tourist attractions (about 2 miles), but best to obtain transportation ticket that is good for the bus, tram and metro systems. The bus #22 stop is one block away and comes about every 6 minutes. You can take it to the Miru metro stop and then take the green line Miru metro/subway to Old Town Square (Staromestska stop) or St. Wenceslas Square (Mustek or Muzeum stops) which are the tourist areas. Very easy to figure out and convenient. (Also saves your feet). The hotel does not have air conditioning or ceiling fans, but does have large windows that allow for cross ventilation. However, with the windows open it can be quite loud with people up throughout the night.

Fantastic for family trips!
The hotel is located 10 minutes from central prague on the 22 tram. The room was amazing, very big with big living room, huge kitchen (fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, plates/utenstils.) As far as the suite, its definitely five stars! The staff was extremely friendly, were more than happy to assist us in everything. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but get's the job done before you start your day. Just far enough to get some quiet at night. No air conditioning in rooms, just heater. Didn't bother because it was cold.

Vi var 2 personer som hyrde takvåningen.Riktigt lyxigt..egna sovrum,egna badrum.Mkt rent och trevligt.Takterrassen var suverän,ett Tornfalkspar med ungar på taket mittemot! Spårvagnslinje 22 går precis runt hörnet,den tar Er till centrum och tillbaka på ett smidigt sätt.Har varit i Prag innan och bott både på hotell och hyrt lägenhet.Kan verkligen rekommendera detta boende iaf med säkerhet takvåningen.
