We loved our stay at Villa Celentano. We had a beautiful view and the room was clean and comfortable. The hosts are so friendly and helpful and were so accommodating when we arrived late due to flight delays on the day of our arrival. The walk to the town center is short and there are good restaurants nearby. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience on our first trip to Positano…definitely hope to return and would stay here again!
Great location and the host Marie was amazing to deal with. Big spacious balcony with a terrific view of Positano. Would definitely stay here again if back on the Amalfi coast.
Maria and her husband run a spotless hotel/ short stay apartment accommodations. The beds are extremely comfortable and our room was generously large and spread over two floors! This property has the best water pressure of any hotel I have ever stayed and the walk in showers were large. We had a beautiful little balcony enough to sit out on and admire the stunning sea view.
The breakfast was so plentiful and a wide selection of choices so something for everyone. There were even freshly made pastries that were still warm. Though not a coffee drinker myself the lady at the next table said, “Maria made the best coffee in Italy.”
This property is well situated as we would walk downwards into the heart of town in less than 10 minutes. Tip: walk down to the main square but take the bus back up! It stops right outside the property. Maria gave us great recommendations of places to eat and all were wonderful!
I really struggle to say anything negative as it’s such a wonderful hotel. There are stairs to the property but there are stairs to every property in Positano. It’s built into the side of a mountain. If you call ahead with your arrival time Maria’s husband will assist with your bags to your room.
You really should book this property if you are visiting Positano or the Amalfi coast.
Warmest welcome from Maria and hosts! Never too busy to help with questions and travel plans. Beautiful views and up the "hill" on the "quieter" side of Positano but short/easy walk to restaurants and shops! IF visiting Positano, must be very comfortable with walking uphill/downhill and LOTS of stairs!!! Villa is off a driveable road but about 40-60 steps up to the property with luggage from there. After ringing the bell at the gate by the road, we were greeted by the friendly host who helped carry my luggage up to the villa (so incredibly nice of him since we had a long day of traveling!).
We sincerely hope to return one day! Highly recommend this property!
